We visited the Widdrington Inn on a Friday night and found the place to be well patronised. After seeing the menu, and having dinner there, we could understand why! They offer a great range of food and drinks, and are pretty quick in serving it too. We opted for cray fish starters, and battered cod fillet. The starters were tasty... More

Visited today with family to find they have changed the menu. I tried the monkfish with orzo pasta. Beautiful meal. Very tasty. But please get the Thai Curry back. The chocolate brownie is still tremendous.

Visited on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was unexpectedly busy. We had a lovely meal, I had the pan fried chicken with a delicious leek, blue cheese, mushroom and smokey bacon sauce, and my husband had the steak and Widdy ale pie. Both were served with a selection of vegetables and we would recommend both meals! The meals were... More

Called in with my sister after the refurbishment. It is fresh and light. Beautiful wallpaper. It was quite busy so had a little wait for our lunch. Beautiful and tasty. The only downfall was the salad. It was dry and tasteless. Bring back iceberg lettuce. Staff were very friendly. We will be back and would highly recommend

I've been bringing my elderly mother here for lunch for many years because the food is always excellent and we can have a conversation - it's a shame our visit on 2/11/16 was ruined by the intrusively loud and bass-booming pop music piped through the dining areas (we were seated in the conservatory section.) I asked for it to be... More

Another good lunch here - they have refurbished the place and it looks very nice. Not too sure about the very white tiles at the back of bar though. Still very busy on a Sunday for lunch and now they have got rid of the pool table you have a place to sit and wait for your table to become... More

This pub is a must it's just opened after a refurbishment and we stopped for lunch. The pub is family run by Rachel and her partner the chef Daniel and Rachel's mum Ellen. It's so friendly I gleaned all this information just by chatting to them all. The food was lovely and actually cheap. The lager I'm told by my... More
