Popped in to the peppermint cafe for a quick bite. Good service. Good food. Good quality. Good price. Good wee place. Good all round cafe. Just the job.

There are a lot of these kinds of places in Morpeth but this one stood out for us as we walked past so we gave it a try. We didn't try any food on this occasion but the drinks were very good. I had an ordinary coffee which is hard to get wrong, but my partner had the hot chocolate... More

Been elsewhere in Morpeth and having looked at Wheatsheaf, for the first time in many years ..how that place has gone down..decided to try here. Walked in ..waited ...waited...acknowledged. ..waited...waited..and walked out. Went over the road to Cafe des Amis..packed. No wonder this place was empty. Try the Vault or the Morpeth Larder for service . Cannot comment on the... More

Been recently for a couple of birthdays, took the husband first and was so impressed, took mother for her birthday treat a month later. Absolutely gorgeous afternoon teas, we had mixture of sandwiches, with lovely ham, not fatty at all, cheese with nettles from the local cheese shop, then we started on the cakes - Victoria sponge, chocolate cake and... Our steam train excursion terminated on a Saturday afternoon in a damp, drizzly Morpeth. After an hour's walk-about we discovered the delightfully welcoming Peppermint Tearooms where we took shelter and enjoyed a pot of tea accompanied by yummy cakes. Excellent service and quality in a homely environment. An hour quickly passed before walking, fully refreshed, back to the station for... More

We visited the tea room on a rather rainy day. I'm the first to admit that we should have complained about the portion sizes for our food when it was served, however, its not upto each customer to regulate this, its the establishment. The jacket potato was the smallest that we've ever seen (about the size of a small yoghurt... More

Well worth a visit. Cozy, comfortable tea room in the centre of Morpeth. Delicious breakfast, reasonably priced and included drinks and toast, all cooked fresh. Extremely pleasant and helpful young staff. This was our first visit but defiantly won't be our last.

Tried Peppermint during our stay, nice enough cafe, just 100yds from the town centre, Food very good, but the service could have been better considering the place was vertually empty. Went back several times tried numerous cakes and sandwiches all of which were very good. should be No2 in Morpeth
