Pilgrims has become a part of every visit we make to Holy Island, and not just because a winter walk out to Lindisfarne Castle and the Gertrude Jekyll garden requires some warming up before and/or after. The coffee is superb, they allow (good) dogs inside and in the lovely garden, the scone pudding is worth fighting over, and the sandwiches... More

Visited yesterday with our dog and thoroughly enjoyed the coffee, and homemade delicious shortbread and cheese scone. So good we visited at the start of our walk and returned before departing the island. We have already recommended to our friends and family. Just loved sitting in front of the fire, really lovely atmosphere.

A most pleasant spot whatever the weather. The owners are doing a brilliant job. Relaxed atmosphere that is at once trendy and very fitting for Holy Island. Only dropped a star for the cups being paper - yerk!

Called in for coffee after an invigorating walk around the Island. The coffee was excellent as was the scone my companion had, but the carrot cake was one of the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. Even the icing was delicious. (Usually the icing on carrot cake is the work of the devil, being a teeth achingly sweet "goo".... More

Drawn in by the smell of coffee. Seems that they roast it here. My wife and I had a lovely bacon sandwich with a Latte and a Mocha. very nice indeed. Bought some of the coffee from the shop. Looking forward to that when we get home .

We called here for tea, coffee and scones during our visit to Holy Island. We sat downstairs near the entrance. The scones were delicious, just what we needed to keep us going for the rest of our afternoon.

We visited this Coffee House for a late morning drink and bite to eat. They had a good selection of Coffees, Teas and Hot Chocolate to drink and a variety of Scones, Cakes etc. We sampled the Cheese Scones which were very tasty and good value. The Coffees, which are roasted on site, can be purchased to take home and... More

The Pilgrims Coffee House is the best place to eat on Holy Island. The owners have transformed what was little more than a junk store into an attractive café environment since 2006. The lunch menu is imaginatively varied (the vegan chilli baked potato with salad is my favourite) and the garden is an attractive place to sit (even in February!).... More
