A pleasant, lively place, with decent ales and good food. The range of starters was disappointing, but there was a good choice of main courses. The haddock and prawn risotto and the bouillabaisse were delicious. The wine list was unexciting.

Visited for lunch after having a lovely walk at craster. We were greeted by a lovely lady and handed menus, her service was great and efficient! Unfortunately our visit went slightly down hill when our order was taken due to the ill mannered lady with...More

One previous review describes a limited menu, poor food and poor service. This was certainly not our experience. The menu offers a range of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Everything we ordered was tasty, well-presented and plentiful. And the staff were friendly and efficient. No...More

We have visited this pub a few times when holidaying in the area. It is a pub with a consevatory where you can eat if you have dogs and a bar area which is dog friendly. the meals are reasonable and plentiful. Staff are friendly

Very limited pub grub menu. Service poor - staff untidy. Restaurent smelt of stale fat and vinegar. Kipper pate starter full of bones and gammon extremely salty. Chips unpleasant.

Dog friendly pub with good food. Locals and bar staff were extremely nice. Nice selection of local beers. Would strongly recommend this place and much nicer than the pretentious bars at Beadnell and Newton by the sea. Cottage inn is a proper local pub
