I had booked to sail to the Farne Islands 12.30pm - so popped in to the Copper Kettle Tearoom and got takeaway prawn sandwiches were absolutely delicious.

What a quaint little tea shop. Number one tip is when you go in there is a lot more seating around to the left of the building so don't feel you need to be cramped in to the main small section. We had tea and crab salad. Its the freshist crab I have ever eaten, the salad was huge and... More

I admit to having been scarred by visits to "cosy tearooms" during my childhood and have avoided them ever since. So, when faced with a limited choice, was doubtful (the chairs, table, copper all brought back those memories. However, i was delighted to find that the Copper Kettle was an excellent experience. I don't drink Tea which is also an... More

I called in here after a ten mile walk, and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff. My order was taken, and brought to me very quickly, which was wonderful because after all that walking, I needed to replace those calories as quickly as possible!!! The scone (with jam and cream, of course) was delicious. I will most... More

We had coffee, tea and scones and really enjoyed it. The service and food was first class. It's a cosy little cafe and a really nice place to have a... More

My husband and I visited the Copper Kettle today after dropping our son off for his residential trip at the hotel just up the street. We were seated quickly and our order was taken promptly. We opted for the Panhagerty Pie as it was suitable for vegetarians. It came with a HUGE dressed salad and onion chutney, it was absolutely... More

Long beach walk necessitated a coffee so we dropped in. Sat in the small rear terrace in the sun, out of the wind. Great coffee. Friendly, efficient service. Well worth the visit. Will go again.

The food & drink was good, though choice of tea was very limited in brand to one I don't personally like! The path to the tea garden, small but sweet, cut my poor dog's feet! Sim to car park at bottom of the castle. Dogs aren't allowed into the tearoom, a great pity, as had weather been bad, we wouldn't... More
