Stopped off for a drink while in Alnwick good beers and reasonable seating although probably due a refurbish,but staff friendly lots of TVs showing sports .but believe this to be the oldest pub in Alnwick

Impressed that they stock some local beers on tap as well as the beautiful Hepple gin! Didn't eat here so can't recommend the food but we came back a second night for a drink during our week's holiday so must have been good!
The pub looks nice from the outside but was cold inside. The pub was painfully out of stock of most drinks - from lager on tap to Coke, and some food. We ordered two sandwiches which took half an hour and arrived with over cooked...More
Very pleased to find this pub. Good ales & service. Great little courtyard for us smokers. Locals very friendly & helpful about where to visit
