Visited Tuesday 14th Feb 2017 , approx 1pm for lunch. Place 50% full so not buy. Waited at lectern as notice advised, for service for over 10 minutes. Ignored by waiting staff and bar staff. Finally asked for table at bar and shown to table and given menu, very expensive for pub fare. 20 minutes laterrstill not served and got... More

This was our second visit to this pub/restaurant. On arrival, it took a few minutes before we could be shown to a table, where we were sat in the restaurant area, which had a pleasant view overlooking the canal. The menu has a reasonable range supported by a small number of "specials". Orders for our food and drinks were taken... More

Over the past couple of years I have visited this establishment a few times. All experiences have been great from the greeting by the staff, the food, the choices, the ambience....... As a result, I have returned! If you want a good meal with good service and pleasant surroundings, try here! I am returning next month with around 12 friends... More

Great food, good price and lovely venue. We were greeted by a helpful barman with a good bar selection. The menu was easy to follow and offered a good selection on three courses. The wine menu was sufficient. Our courses were swift, hot and delicious. We are going again this month.

We came here with our daughter and son in law and our grandson for a pre Xmas meal. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The staff were so attentive and were very good with our grandson who is only 2 years old. We have been to this restaurant many times and it is still one of the... More

Me and my friend came here for a roast diner. We didn't book but they managed to get a table for us. The roast was amazing we ate it all! Not sure about the normal menu as I haven't tried but would definitely recommend the roast!

I went here with my mum today, the staff seemed very useful and accommodating, although we did seem to get tucked out of the way so they had no way of keeping an eye on us. The food was very good, if a little sweet, but I think this was personal taste! Portion size was good although I would recommend... More

I recently visited the narrowboat with a few of my girlie friends. We decided to view the cocktail menu and our young bar man Bradley made us some of his own special cocktails. And they were lovely and was a nice touch to have something made especially for us. We then went to our table to have some dinner together.... More

The place actually doesn't look that good from the outside when you enter from the busy main road. Once you get in you get a warm feeling as well as a warm welcome. I absolutely loved this little place. The food was great! I had pressed oxtail and oh my the flavours were simply tantalising. The artisan breads were very... More

Some friends and I popped in for Lunch. It is located handily next to the A5 and on the banks of the Grand Union Canal. The main car park is at the rear along with the stable blocks for accommodation. Inside it is very large with numerous seating areas, free wi-fi and we sat in the conservatory overlooking the Canal... More
