We visited the cafe half way through a 60+ mile bike ride. We ordered Yorkshire Rarebit x2 and were disappointed with the tiny portions. This plus tea for 2 was £16:60. We are happy to pay for quality food and prefer a small portion of...More

Four of us had lunch on a very rainy day. We all chose different dishes- all well presented and nicely cooked. Each different and all enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. Would definitely recommend the Marigold.

A beautiful location on a sunny day we had high expectations for this place. Food was very average, especially the Ploughman's, which had a hard pork pie and soggy bread. The waiting staff were completely overrun and looked stressed as they were very young and...More

My friend and myself stopped off here for breakfast, during our cycle ride of Yorkshire, which was recommended by one of the locals, and true to his word, it did not disappoint. Food was very good indeed. Great view looking across river. Great service too.

a very busy café on the river on waterside. We had a brunch on poached egg on avocado toast and a Yorkshire rarebit, both were very tasty.

I'm nothing to do with the running of the place but they did have plenty of young staff working there so I guess there is a turn over and weekends will be their busiest time so give them a ring and give it a try. Good luck.
