Recently had a very dissapointing meal here the cheese and onion pie has shrunk and tasteless better homemade pies at bannys restaurant colne. The service was also very poor which I have also found in past visits not good for the northcote group dissapointing response from the manager as well.

Lovely pub with good food and service. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with menu choices and the food was very nice. There were lots of dogs in one area of the pub which is not my thing when I'm dining out- but to be fair apart from a a bit of barking from one small dog they were... More

A venue I've been to before with family. Friendly and lively atmosphere. Kind attention to my request not to be near the amplified music (because of hearing aid). Celebration lunch with daughter and teenage grand daughter. The latter does not eat much meat and chose a vegetable curry. The fish platter was well chosen and my slow-cooked lamb was delicious.

Was rather underwhelmed by the Sunday roast beef, it was served Luke warm, the Yorkshire pudding hard which was surprising at 12.00, didn't complain as I didn't want to spoil it for the other guests, but really shouldn't have to complain about the food temperature.

Having lived within easy travelling distance of this place for almost 25 years I can't believe I have never set foot inside. I have now and I'll be back. Nice atmosphere, good quality food, relaxing etc etc. What with this and the 'new' Aspinal Arms just down the road ( a similar style establishment and with quality food) this part... More

Went for a meeting and had a meal first in the Garden Room. Had the sharing platter to start, my wife said the Black Pudding Sausages were to die for and she does not eat Black Pudding ! Crispy squid excellent, easily enough for two. Continued with the plate pie, with creamy buttery mash and cabbage, wonderful. Service was excellent,... More

Visited with my parents for a birthday lunch and had a lovely time! I chose The Three Fishes because I wanted a relaxed atmosphere but with an inventive menu. It definitely delivered. We visited on the recommendation of a friend and weren't disappointed. Set among the fields between Whalley and Clitheroe it manages to be classy and the friendly local gastro pub. Classic dishes like hot pot and gammon steak were prepared to technical perfection. It's obvious that this is no ordinary chain eaterie and indeed the owner of Ribble Valley Inns... More

I've wanted to visit for a while after hearing good things, after our first visit last Sunday I'm sure this will be a regular spot for us. Yes this is a pub that serves food but it really is the highest stardard pub food, no doubt due to the Nigel Haworth connection. The style of the menu is in tune... More
