We've lived not that far from the Inn at Whitewell for many years, but never seemed to get round to visiting. Always looked too busy when we've driven past on the way home from a walk. Decided to book a table in the restaurant and do it properly. The booking seemed to have been mislaid, but there was a table... More

Sunshine and Beautiful surroundings... we had our lunch outside with the beautiful view. I had the steak salad and my hubby had the steak sandwich.. my salad was £2 dearer... when they came they were identical apart from my hubby had one slice of bread underneath... we both found that a bit odd... I paid £2 more and didn't have... More

It was our first visit, I was looking forward to it as I had heard such great reviews. I chose the black pudding as a starter which was amazing. I then moved on to the sirloin which was fine however the chips were very dry and tasted as though they had been cooked the previous day. I thought there choice... More

A Friday afternoon trip for lunch and to see the bluebells at the Inn at Whitewell. The area beside the road leading up to the Inn has now been repaired and was carpeted in the amazing bluebells. We had a nice lunch and the Inn was busy despite the nice weather of this week not lasting to the Friday. I... More

Thank you for your kind comments. There is now a new ride we've cut through from the vantage of the Hall Hill road to look up stream, this has the most amazing bluebells and a fabulous view. This is where we plan to put a seat and my old pa's ashes, he's been in the garage too long! Regards Cb More

We took a run out and the countryside around the inn this stunning. The food is on the pricey side for a pub but the quality justifies the price. Friendly attentive service, didn't have to wait too long and what we waited for was worth the wait.

Had a great lunch. My wife had sirloin and I belly pork with puy lentils. I added a side of chips. Someone here really knows about meat. The sirloin was the best my wife has ever had and my belly pork was the best I had ever tasted. Considering how busy the place was service was attentive and quick. The... More

Visited to have a bar meal, two of us had fish and chips, very light batter, chips to die for. The men folk had sausage on champ with onion gravy and fish pie all freshly cooked. Puddings, treacle tart, or ice cream or sticky toffee pudding were the choice of three of us, my husband had the cheese selection, you... More

The title tells you all you need to know. Menu is quite limited, but this is clearly because people have found their firm favourite dishes. I've yet to progress beyond the sausage and mash.

Came today with my mum for lunch. Gorgeous food we had the bangers and champ and lamb shoulder with mash, both were beautiful. Lovely cold wine and the coffee is nice quality. Very attentive service and extremely dog friendly which was lovely. Lovely setting and the open fires are amazing Will be returning again
