A real northern plateful! Warm and friendly cafe with friendly staff, good service, excellent traditional home made food and very reasonable prices. I loved it - for those of you who know what it is they even sell buttered sad cake! Delicious. Particularly for a northerner exiled in the south it was great - loved every mouthful.

Pie and Peas and a cup of tea. Brill. Just what the doctor ordered. No fuss. Clean, well priced, nice hot food and drinks. Great to drop in when you are shopping, out for a walk or visiting the town. Pleasant staff and a welcoming little cafe.

Friendly family café with simple, delicious home made food and cakes. Very reasonably priced but everything from the very popular pie and peas to the plate salads and home made cakes is fresh, tasty and of good quality. The best thing is that everyone is made to feel welcome and at home even at the busiest of times.

How we love coming here!! Always consistently good with a great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced for freshly made sandwiches, super homemade cakes and drinks. How I wish there were more places like this- old fashioned in the nicest sense of the word, service with a smile and excellent value for money.

Visited on recommendation and this café certainly lived up to expectations. The food is home made and simply delicious and served in comfortable, relaxed surroundings by very pleasant staff. Was impressed by the way tables were cleared and cleaned quickly, no plates and cutlery left lying around. Good value for money too. Will certainly call in again on our next... More

Visit here every 2 weeks for the last 5 years, the service is very friendly and quick, and the consistency of the food never ever changes always good, unlike many other Supermarket cafes. Will continue to come here. Great job.

I am a very frequent visitor to Clitheroe and have favourite eating and watering venues. I have walked past this cafe many, many times without calling in. Today I made a point of going in, I was delighted with just about every aspect of the premises, the decor, the very friendly, almost family like service and of course the food.... More

This cafe is great for a good cheap lunch from Coleman's lunch to meat and potato pie peas and gravy. Then treat you self to a homemade cake's. You can just pop in for a great coffee.

This cafe is a throw back to the good old days and it's a must to go there when you're visiting Clitheroe. With basic decor, red vinyl seating and Formica trim, you are automatically transported back to the 70's - when a cafe was a cafe. Dont get the wrong impression though, it suits it and it's clean. The food... More
