We visited the Old Neptune in Whitstable on a rather cold Sunday in February with our daughter’s family. Whitstable is easy to get to having a main line railway station within a reasonable walking distance of the harbour and there are plenty of (pay and display) car parks around though at £1.10 and hour (either long or short stay), we... Lovely find on the beach. Tables limited inside but plenty outside too. Great for drinks, good service and friendly staff. We did eat, the fish and chips were good but also had the chicken burger which was nothing special. Think there a lot of other places better for food in Whitstable. Do visit for the atmosphere and drinks but maybe... More

Second time here get inside and look at the bar you feel drunk looking at it as the thing slopes to the left great conversation piece .. sit outside at the tables watch the kids and the gentle lap of the waves , nice varied selection of food on offer too at reasonable prices

The pub has a great pubby feel, with a lovely cross section of customers. It's ok to pop in for just a drink, teas and coffees, or some special winter hot drinks like hot chocolate and calypso coffee. Seating is available inside and out. Today we chose inside. It was a bright sunny day, with a biting wind. We sampled... More

Great restaurant in a lovely location. You can enjoy a lovely pub meal or just sit with a drink looking over the beaches and views of Whitstable. Tables and chairs outside as well as places to eat inside. Great service, friendly staff and very reasonable for food. Good selection of beers and wine.

We, 3adults and 2 large dogs, went to Whitstable last Friday. By 3.30 we were very cold and hungry and then we found the Old Neptune. We found the last empty table and were able to order hot meals. Although they were busy we didn't have too long to wait. The food was good, atmosphere cosy and the dogs were... More

Been there just to have a pint, did not eat just drinking. Have to say, that is best point in terms of location in Whitstable.

Great pub , on the beach, loads of character, simple pub food, sandwiches and daily specials--BUT because of its situation this pub is heaving! Having to queue on Boxing Day for a beer is a novelty!
