Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Lovely food. What more can you ask for? Okay parking is a bit of a problem, but then that's nothing new. The lunch itself was absolutely delicious. I couldn't fault it. Roast lamb which was served with swede, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese, along with roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. All piping hot.... More

We visited The Chaser on the evening of Saturday 14th January to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary, there were 18 of us dining and we had a long table in the chapel. The menu was varied, in fact I found it difficult to decide what to have (always a good sign!) and the food we had was absolutely delicious,... More

I went there during a walk in the surrounding countryside. The food and beer were excellent, but after I ordered and had been served a drink, no-one came near me to take my food order until I attracted a server's attention. After that all was well. The chicken pie was a "proper" pie (short crust pastry underneath as well as... More

We visited The Chaser for a birthday celebration breakfast with our friends, so 4 different choices and mush satisfaction all round. The Chaser can be extremely busy at Lunchtime (so pre-booking would be essential!), but we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in relative peace and quiet. The breakfast menu offers a good range of choices, so no problem selecting our individual... More

I love The Chaser, myself and my husband often go there for Sunday Roast and we are never disappointed. This year we decided to dine out with friends on Christmas Day and chose The Chaser for it's atmosphere and our previous experiences there. Because it was Christmas my expectations were high, and I have to say it was just brilliant... More

We have often driven by and been put off because it seemed so busy and it was difficult to park but decided to try lunch on a Monday and found it as welcoming as I remember it. We settled down on a comfortable table alongside a gorgeous roaring fire and ordered our lunch. We only wanted a light lunch so... More

After a walk across the country fields, arriving at the pub with boots caked in mud, it was great to be able to leave the boots and dirt outside and stroll in for a hearty breakfast!

Everyone was so helpful and kind, the dog had lots of attention too.The food was superb, could of stayed all day.

Having been regular visitors to the Chaser over the years, it has been sad to see the slow decline in what was an excellent pub over the last 18 months. Unfortunately we will not be venturing back again. Whilst there is a large and varied menu, it is bitterly disappointing to be informed that they do not have half the... More

Love the company for quality since have been to there sister pub the cricketers many times . This just didn't live up to the same quality as I was expecting from there the food was good and the beer was good but just wasn't exceptional as the cricketers which left me disappointed .
