Being on a wine tour to England we obviously had to visit Chapel Down. After touring the wine yard and made a quick visit to the shop, we went upstairs to have lunch. They had on offer a 2or3-course lunch, at 23,50 or 26,50£. 5 choices per course. Among 4 persons choosing many different courses not one single dish was... More

Lovely restaurant, good food and a nice place to be.. Fantastic seating area for drinks and chatting to friends and some seats were made out of giant wine corks! Service was very good.. just check your bill before paying as they add on a hefty service charge which isn't always correct.. but aside from that would recommend

We booked the swan for a belated mothers day and birthday treat for both my in laws. Being Kent people we are very proud to have a vineyard on our doorstep with such good wines. It's a pity the restaurant is not in the same league, 6 sat down for an Easter Sunday dinner, 2 kids 8 & 10, the... More

Following a wine tasting tour at the vineyard, we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Swan. The food was excellent - we had a variety of dishes between the five of us so we were able to sample each and every one was very well presented and tasted delicious. We had a one year old with us and they organised... More

I was excited to try the food at The Swan as I have enjoyed the Chapel Down wine before, It was our first visit to the winery itself and my wife had booked us in for Sunday lunch. Firstly I noticed that the wine list had the typical mark up you'd expect in a restaurant over buying from source, thing... More

We went to The Swan for Sunday Lunch arriving slightly early today. On arrival we were asked if we'd like to have a drink on the terrace before our meal or go straight to the table. Going for the drink first option we were told that someone would be out to take an order, no one came - eventually we... More

The food at The Swan was fantastic. I had truffle gnocchi followed by beef rump and both were outstanding. Service was good; menu is limited but the quality more than makes up for this. There is a also a great area to sit outdoors and have a drink overlooking the vineyards.

We had a great meal here. They were very flexible with the menu and were happy to serve larger portions of starters as mains when my daughter and I wanted lighter options. My husband said the Jerusalem artichoke risotto was his best meal out for sometime. He is vegetarian. The desserts where also very tasty and well presented. The service... More

We took lunch at the Swan as part of a wine tasting experience at Chapel Down. We found the service to be efficient and very polite throughout. The food was of good quality and well presented. The rump steak was rare but very tender and tasted divine. We took coffee out on the viranda as it was a beautiful, warm... More

My Family and I do not go out for meals EVER and expect NOT to pay for them. In this instance the service was VERY POOR the the managers attitude was extremely unacceptable. The whole experience made all of all of us extremely uncomfortable. When booking I specifically asked if this was the last booking and was told that everything... More
