After visiting 3 times in December with friends I decided to really see what it would be like to be a "regular" at the Shipwrights. I booked a room in town 2 weeks ago and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the pub, having drinks, lunch and great conversations with the locals and real regulars. This is a place I... More

Not easy to find in the fog and darkness of the estuary, but really worth it. There were some locals but we were the only "tourists" eating. The sea bass special was really excellent.

Just a great out of the ways place with honest beer and food. Go for a walk on the sea wall or relax by one of the many fireplaces inside.

My friends really liked the pub which is an original and not 'corporate'. I have been there a few times and at other times enjoyed the garden on a hot day. This time we enjoyed warm cosy surroundings for a yummy ham, eggs and chips before continuing our walk. I think they close Mondays in colder months so do check... More

This is a lovely old traditional pub with good home cooking. My partner had a roast and I enjoyed a salad. Local beers. We would come again.

Love the unmodernised nature of this old pub, situated on the marshes by a tidal yacht harbour and ancient boatyard. It's a lovely spot and great for creative photographers as well as those who like walking and pottering around in boatyards. You can walk here along the river from Faversham if you search for the start on the north side... More

Love the walk to this pub however have never felt particularly welcomed. Have eaten sandwiches there and they were certainly good.

It was great to find this pub. A proper pub with real ale. A pub that had the atmosphere of a proper pub. Didn't think they still existed. We had jacket potatoes which although is not fancy, they cooked them properly. Not like some of the half cooked ones you get in some "gastro pubs" Wine was good and prices... More
