Called for drinks only and the local brew was very good. The food going out looked tasty. Don't be put off by the appearance as you first go in. The rear of the pub is much nicer.

There was plenty of room ,well it was a Monday lunchtime. Plenty of choice on the menu for us all, even the two little ones. Our meals arrived quickly and were surprised how large a portion they were, by the time we finished we were all stuffed and couldn't manage any desserts. Very happy with the service and food we had.... More

Looking for a venue for lunch after a disastrous visit to a local pub frequented for years but due to new owners whose idea of a ham sandwich is that the meat comes in cubes Not a very warm welcome and the tables were extremely sticky. Reminded me of a badly ran chain pub in London. Not what you come... More

The Wheatsheaf is a long established pub in the pretty small town of Yarmouth. However, in recent years it's had a make over and now has a bright contemporary interior. It is very busy at weekends from May to September with visiting yachties, with tables in great demand. During the week it is much more relaxed and more of a... More

This place is Amazing !! The food, staff, and business as a whole is one of the best I've been too. Have tried a few things on the menu and the quality & quantity of the food is superb. My favourite is the sizzling Rump steak skillets, always cooked to how they ask you want the steak. Hardly any fat... More

Was expecting good, honest pub food and got so much more than that. Really high quality food and a delicious Pimm's on the side. All for a reasonable price tag. I recommend it!

Situated close to the Coach and bus station. Easy for a late morning coffee and lunch. Food options and service very friendly. From sizzlers to Sunday roast or tasty garlic mushrooms. Paved garden in the sun. Well worth a visit. Shaun's cook know how to do a great meal. Derek B.

We stopped here for a drink one night before a pre-booked dinner elsewhere, saw the size of the food portions coming out of the kitchen, and decided we'd eat here the next night! Glad we did. Good quality cuts of meat, (the sizzling platters were fabulous), big stacks of thrice-fried chips, and all the accompaniments. Nice buzzing atmosphere and friendly... More
