Not sure how many times I've visited MichaelAngelo but it's still head a shoulders above any other Italian restaurant on the Isle of Wight It serves authentic Italian food served by Italian owners A great verity of dishes, pasta, pizza, fish, meat, specials (I had duck) Simply good food, good service and we've never had a bad meal for a... After stepping off the seacat and walking down the pier we decided to lunch at this Italian restaurant overlooking the sea. They do a special light lunch menu consisting mainly of pasta and pizza, but with a good level of choice. We tried a variety of dishes between us and the pasta was very good, but a special mention to... More

Friendly, busy, well run restaurant with a lovely selection of Italian food. I only had a pizza but is one of the best I have eaten outside of Italy - a thin crispy base and scummy topping. I am sure into eh summer season you would have to book to guarantee a table as it was busy in April when... More

The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a great atmosphere and it is a really good place to have a long dine with friends. There was a family cosy feeling. Menu was okay, a little limited. Food was nice.

We were looking for a bit of food late on the Sunday of the Easter weekend before we got our 11pm boat back, and this was the only place still serving down Union Street, but thank goodness for that. It has a traditional feel to the place but is clean and the smell of good food was overwhelming! I think... More

Experience hugely improved over the last five years - any unwelcoming staff seem to have departed, and there is always a sincere and warm welcome. Food fantastic, atmosphere great and location exceptional, whether for a daytime snack or an evening meal. Only suggestions would be for an "al dente" option to be made more visible for the pasta, and for... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant as we were staying at the Royal Esplanade Hotel a few yards away. We didn't have a booking but they found us a table and it became very clear that they are very popular with the locals as everyone seemed to know each other! The food was fantastic My Pizza seemed to be... More
