We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly attentive staff. The food was great, especially the King Prawns. Prices are very reasonable and we were not rushed.

The Tamarind certainly deserves a heap more credit for the willingness, kindness, and great food. The service is wonderful, and the restaurant is a fab gem near the top of Tring High Street. I rang up requesting their vegan options, and the gentleman kindly responded that he could do almost any of the veggie dishes vegan for me. He also... More

We regularly visit Tamarind, and with two other Indians in Tring to choose from this is definitely our preference. What you get is consistency. Over the 10 times we have been (or maybe more!) we have never had a bad dish. The food is traditional but with a few interesting modern twists, and the service is always good. I would... More

Popped in on Saturday night for a meal. First time I have eaten here - won't be the last. Really pleased when I asked about gluten free options, that they were instantly able to reassure me what I could have. And their poppadums' are made from gram flour not wheat - so brilliant for me. Tasty food, not rushed, and... More

We popped in here for a quick Curry on a Friday night. We ordered 2 meat curries and one vegetable Curry with rice and breads. The Order was slightly mixed up when it arrived as we ordered 1 chicken and 1 lamb, for some reason 2 chicken mains arrived. We didn't mind and enjoyed them both . Worth a visit... More

Visited here with family, they use this restaurant fairly regularly... we all had poppadoms, starters, mains and naans/rice etc..... we regularly eat out at Indian restaurants & have to say i personally thought it was one of the nicest Indian meals I've ever had & that's going some for me! My husband thought it was good but he preferred our... More

Well, much better than the last one we visited down here, but that's like damning with faint praise. I'm a Brummie moved south recently in search of a good curry. Back home we had the Balti Triangle, a square mile containing twenty plus value for money establishments of a consistently high quality. Down here there isn't the competition so the... More

This is a traditional curry house, but nothing special. Would definitely return as friendly staff but could be so much more!
