Good beer, good food and most importantly a good atmosphere. Happy to recommend this place because we left after a good meal feeling very full and more than content with the quality of the food and the whole experience. The wife is vegetarian and described her meal as a little 'samey' (i.e. it's the sort of standard fare that you... More

We booked a table in the restaurant - and it took us a minute to locate the converted coach house across the courtyard. I think it's best - unless weather is awful to weave your way to the bar first and peruse /try some beers first and then either take your beer with you or order to be taken through... More

Friendly, back-street, local pub with a great atmosphere. Excellent ale from Tring brewery. Menu had some interesting options. Delicious deep-fried halloumi chips. My roast lamb was lovely, succulent and with a good pink tinge. Although the menu offered better than usual vegetarian choices, the vegetarians of the party thought the food was middle-of-the-road. Marked very good for my individual experience... More

Nice no-chain pub, very traditional, parking on street a little difficult unless you get lucky. I was expecting so much more having read the reviews. Quite basic pub grub but a little overpriced. Nice range of ales on the bar. Ignore the sign that says "All beers from the wood". Staff polite and friendly, food arrived promptly. Nice atmosphere and... More

Been to the museum with the family. Ages mixed from 59 to 4! What an amazing place! The decor doesn't look like much but the food is incredible! Make sure you order plenty of portions halloumi chips! Many fantastic gluten free options!!! Very friendly and accommodating! Will be a must to all our visits to Tring!!
