Visited The Royal Oak for a family meal. Amazing menu choices. We all ordered something different and each meal was first class. From taste to presentation,we were not disappointed. The Bar staff were very welcoming and helpful. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This place is terrible for food, avoid unless absolutely necessary. I had sweet potato coconut chickpea curry. Not good! We only came here to meet friends on there suggestion and I would not return under any circumstance. Service pleasant enough. Everything about it food wise...More

This response has been written in anger and I would ask that it be regarded as hostile in the extreme. Rude behaviour will never be tolerated here at The Royal Oak and threats from whoever, will always result in the same response. Please go elsewhere....More

Why can it be that the landlord protests so much regarding reviews not to his liking? No other establishment on trip advisor seems to submit so many defensive responses! I wonder why?

Constructive criticism should help. But when you pay your hard earned cash over you expect a reasonable service and of course good food.
