Went to ashlyns farm and shop during the week. Was due to be a lovely day so got there early, had a bit of time in the soft play area with a cappuccino, good selection of snacks for all ages and drinks. Usual prices for food etc. Small toilet. Not great room for buggies or prams. Glad we got there... More

Visited with my 2 children we all had a jacket potato it says it comes with a salad garnish it was literally a leaf of lettuce drenched in dressing no other salad items. The restaurant was busy and staff were rushing around a lot. As it is a small restaurant/cage we did come out smelling of cooking. The bill for... More

We only called for a light lunch and a browse round the extensive range of foods for sale. The sandwiches were very tasty and generously filled. It is clearly a popular spot for families and rightly so. Long may it continue, develop and thrive.

We visited on the second week of the Easter holidays - the cafe was very busy but we had driven across to eat so we stayed. The noise was incredible and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The manager seemed to not know how to organise her staff and tensions amongst the staff were riding high! We waited ten mins to order... More

As a family outing, the play barn and facilities etc. looked excellent, however as a couple visiting the Farm shop and restaurant very disappointing, food in farm shop limited and vegetables looked tired. Photos of farm shop on website look great hence the visit but selection and shop area very small. As for the restaurant it was fairly busy but... More

This is a place we regularly end up going as a group of parents as there is a farm and a soft play. The soft play is the 9th circle of hell. They let too many children in and pay no attention to the ages of the children as in there is no policing of the older children being in... More

Visited with family for Sunday brunch and we all had the small full English breakfast. Excellent service and food of really good quality. Was full up at 11 am on a Sunday as it's so good. The farm shop has a really nice selection of goods to purchase too.

This place needs some serious management. I visited on Sunday with my two grandchildren. As far as I could see there were only two members of staff, 1 man who seemed to be the door release opener and 1 young girl attempting to serve drinks etc. The set-up is ridiculous, 1 man trying to prepare sandwiches etc whilst being responsible... As regulars to Ashlyn's restaurant I was very surprised to see some of the negative comments on this site. The food is always excellent and the staff very friendly. However, the behaviour we have witnessed from some of the customers has often been appalling. Large groups with children leaving their table and surrounding floor in a terrible state with dropped...
