Ok for lunchgŷ

Pleasant lunch, average menu, quite busy on a weekday but reasonable service. Bit old fashioned and tired decor but clean.

Lovely food,appalling service

Came here for Mother’s Day today. Food was lovely...service appalling. The place wasn’t busy and we waited around 45 minutes just for starters...which we’re all cold and had no cooking time to prepare them. In that time another table had had starters, mains AND left!!!...More

Lunch

We have been couple of times for roast on a Sunday Not been disappointed . Went on Saturday for lunch. Staff were so lovely. Husband had mixed grill , I had fish . Both were really good. We will certainly be going back .

Yes, the garden is a good area for children (though noisy, it's right next to the A12)

The Duke of Wellington is a busy pub in the heart of Hatfield Peverel. It is just 7 miles outside Chelmsford, and the perfect place for anything from a light lunch to a three course dinner.
