This is the second time I have been here. The venue is small, but it adds to the charm and spirit of the place. It has recently been slightly extended. I definitely recommend here, as it is quaint and intimate but moreso; the menu is very exciting. On both occasions the menu was surprising and interesting. The food was delicious.... More

Arrived at The Cuckoo which is basically a house set in the countryside. Very well mantained and very clean. Warmly welcomed and shown to our table in the new extension. Order drinks while we perused the menu (note for Ale drinkers, they do a very nice IPA) Ordered our meals which were then served quickly and hot , always welcome,... More

We've been to the Cuckoo on a few occasions and have always enjoyed our visits. The food is excellent and truly varied, from Steak and kidney pud to Thai dishes, the venue and ambiance is also good. The only down side for us is that whenever we've been we've felt rushed. The courses seem to arrive so abruptly after we've... More

Restaurant has had a makeover and made slightly bigger. Food is still as nice as ever and the work done on the restaurant is for the better. Highly recommended

Had a really lovely lunch here recently. Very friendly service, and really nice food. There were some slightly unusual menu options - as well as more usual favourites - and all for of us enjoyed our meals. Everything was presented beautifully. We particularly liked: the tempura prawns; salmon fishcakes; and the ice creams with brandy snap nests. I'd like to... More

We went here for my husband's birthday and had a lovely meal.Superb steak and kidney pud-my husband said the best ever. The home made ice cream was amazing especially the caramel and lemon curd. The starter of feta and courgette fritters with a spicy yogurt dip was also delicious. We will be back.

Our first visit since it was extended, but even with extra tables it was still fully booked for Friday lunch. Surely that tells you all you need to know. And yes, we are bias, we love it. So many diners are regulars you cannot fail to see a familiar face on every visit. .

We came here for lunch as my partner had been here years ago and wanted to see if it had changed, it hadn't apparently:-) it had ample parking and the place was a small house, very light and friendly atmosphere. The staff were all really nice, there was a choice of menus and one was a ladies menu with glass... More

My husband and I popped into this lovely quaint pub on the off chance & was lucky enough to get a table. We had lunch there. It's quite small inside and I felt a little hemmed in. The food I thought was rather overpriced and to be honest nothing special. Both of our dishes were mediocre. I had the vegetarian... More
