Food average, service average. The chef needs to find the seasoning cause I think he may have lost it somewhere. If you have the risotto you seem to only get half plate. Drink order was wrong and we had to send a reminder for two of the desserts (and all the desserts seem to be drowned in icing sugar). Not... More

Good friendly service, nice atmosphere just disappointed with the kitchen, 2 things from the menu we couldn't have, can't understand how on a Saturday night how you run out of these things and we couldn't have the creme brûlée because of a faulty blow torch !! And not enough custard for the crumble.

We were able to book on a Monday night, online and confirmed they accepted small children. It wasn't very busy and our table was waiting for us. There was a good choice on the menu, one main course and one dessert were not available, but we were informed of this immediately. Our waitress was very helpful, polite and always had a smile... More

Booked a Saturday night for 6 people. Great Adnams beers. Great choice of food, excellent service and the food was served well-spaced and tasted great too. Well-priced. We'll be back!

Popped in here for an evening dinner as hadn't stopped by for ages. The place was busy with a good atmosphere & helpful & polite service. We went for the steak, seabass & lamb meals. Seabass ok, steak a bit wubbery & the lamb swimming in jus. Not the best but half expected at a vintage inn. Average at best.

Excellent meal and excellent service last night. We booked ahead of time and preordered our food as we were off to see a show. The staff had our food ready to go at 6.30 and we had plenty of time to eat and make our show. Really appreciate it, thank you. Made the evening less frantic and we were able... More

Had a Sunday lunch here. The pub is very welcoming and were very organised - as had a party of 8. The fire was lit and this made the place lovely and cosy on a miserable drizzly day. The food was very good, and they accommodated all the special requests with no complaints. The roast was very good and everyone... More

Pre-booked this restaurant for Sunday lunch for 4. The positives were it had some real fires lighting and it has open and spacious layout. The kids menu is enticing and it has a good choice for children. The negatives: The adult menu main courses were small portions and the lamb shank served was small and had been cooked too quickly....
