Visited with very good friends ,an extremely humid eve with the fresh Mayfield air. Had to wade through the thick smoke and extreme bad/foul language of the young men lurking by the entrance. Had reserved table . It does get busy . Shown to our...More

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent. We tried the new brasserie which is very modern compared to the original restaurant. Could be a little noisy when full. The menu was different to that on the website, but wow what flavours! We will go...More

Food was fantastic, ambiance lovely (it's a grade 1 listed building), the new extension is a surprising addition and a stark contrast to the old building. Pricey, but worth it as a treat.

A lovely restaurant. Old, traditional 16th century building, with a tastefully modern extension and beautiful views. We had the best curry that we have had in a long, long time. The desert, and coffee was well presented and very tasty. We would definitely visit again.

Checked out reviews on here whilst driving by seeking somewhere to eat. Came up trumps, seemingly, so stopped and found ourselves sitting in the pub garden. After witnessing a bevy of delicious choices pass by, we were increasingly looking forward to our own traditional pub...More

Hello, Sorry for late response. Personally I allow dogs as long as they're not trying to snaffle my lunch. It might be better to ask someone who works their though.
