Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! is what I said after we had lunch here. Lovely sandwiches and perfectly toasted teacakes. The scones were wonderful, the best we have ever had. The tea arrived in a lovely china tea service. The tea room was lovely and quaint and had a...fantastic view of the Battle Abbey. The service was very friendly and efficient. We can't wait to return to this little gem.More

Just had a wonderful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea with my family. It’s little touches like the fine bone china, beautiful decorations and the friendly atmosphere of the owner and her staff thats makes it so special and the food is amazing. The flakiness of the...pastry on the delicious sausages rolls, the tasty mini quiche, the sandwich fillings were plentiful and tasty, the mini Victoria sponge was so light and fluffy, the trifle was a refreshing change and the scones are the best. They also accommodated my allergies with perfection. ❤️🥰More

Popped in for a cream tea as were staying in the abbey hotel next door and had been disappointed with their breakfast. The cream tea was delicious and we wished we could go back tomorrow for breakfast but unfortunately they are closed. Really good service...and all lovely and fresh.More

A beautiful quirky little tea room, dainty China cups and saucers etc. We went for afternoon tea, and took our little granddaughter. The lovely lady added a couple of extras to our goodies for the tiny tot. High chairs available. The food is outstanding and...the staff are very polite and courteous. Will definitely be going again!More

We decided to pop in for some lunch while we were visiting and are glad we did. The service was very good and the food all freshly prepared and very enjoyable. Watch out for the ploughman's, which is massive! Keep up the good work.

Food delicious. My partner had a toasted sandwich and I had tuna and sweetcorn sandwich, salad and homemade coleslaw and homemade dressing. Both bursting with filling. Tea and coffee. Excellent service.

Very sweet cafe/tea room with lovely decor and cute crockery. Lovely location. However, we waited a really long time for our order to be taken - and the place only had a couple of tables in when we arrived. Food took a very long time...to arrive and was clearly shoved quickly in microwave when it did,No apology from staff when this was raised, In fact she lied and said her mother had cooked in oven when clearly had not been anywhere near one - would actually have been fine if they said “yes we did as short on time/staff/ whatever” I’d go again maybe as cute place for tea and drink but would avoid ordering any “cooked” food. Good price for a cup of tea etc.More

I'm not sure that it would be, as the tables are close together. Otherwise lovely atmosphere but quite cosy.
