We stopped at the Harbour Inn following a walk along the Southwold estuary. It was the ideal finish to a very long walk. We enjoyed sampling some of their small plates of seafood. Thought prices were slightly more than they should be, but the food was worth it. As usual in a Southwold pub, they had plenty of Adnams Beers... More

We had the fish pie and it was delicious. Though it was busy didn't take long to be served and the beer was fine as well

A pub come restaurant with a home from home atmosphere. Staff very helpful and happy. Beer spot on. while away an hour or two and enjoy your meal with a pint or two of well kept Adnams Ales. We had a party of nine people and had a fantastic lunch in the upper dinning area. highly recommend dish of the... More

Bit of a tradition to visit here when in the area. Service at lunchtime a bit slow but then no great hurry.... Our two "small plates" were very tasty and filling and the fire was most appreciated on a very cold May day!! They seem to cater for all tastes and appetites in a relaxed way.

A lovely characterful pub right beside the harbour. Great as a drinkers' pub, but the meal we had was very poor. Dry chips and scampi, which had a huge amount of coating around it, hardly any content and tasteless. How this gets in the Good Pub Guide I do not know!

Called for drink and light meal. Staff attentive and very helpful. We are awkward through food intolerances and allergy and they all went out their way to provide great food. To be recommended. Thanks

First visit here. This is a great pub to visit when in Southwold. It is a bit out of the way down by the harbour. There is some parking. The pub is quite large and is split over two floors. The pub dates back many decades. It is an Adnams pub so quality is excellent. It serves great Adnams ales and... More

After reading reviews, we were really looking forward to our lunch even arriving 20 mins before service. The location is great and staff attentive. Unfortunately the food was average. My smoked haddock battered fish was way too rich and my wife's fish cakes overdone. We fed this back to the staff and received an apology - that's it. Our friends... More

Seven of us came on a busy Bank Holiday weekend. The Restaurant was very busy but the food was served very quickly by the polite and helpful staff. Very good food at a reasonable price. Very good family meal enjoyed by all,

Nice pub, great location & good beer, why only 3 stars? I had the worst fish I've ever had, it was inedible. When the waiter took the plates and asked if everything was alright I told him, "oh I can see that" was his reply on looking at the fish (batter fried Plaice) and that was the last we heard,...
