My wife and I stopped in to the Market Cross for an afternoon cuppa, and found the restaurant nicely laid out and the staff pleasant. We had a very nice chamomile blend and some lattes. These were prepared well, and we had a leisurely drink to unwind before getting on with the shopping. The decor is fitting for the type... More

Been eating here for years and never been disappointed, they offer home-cooked food such as quiche, jacket potatoes, fishcakes and sandwiches always served fresh, lovely to sit outside too on a warm day and watch the world go by. lovely staff.

Food of reasonable quality but very over priced bearing in mind size of portions-a very light lunch indeed. My wife's jacket potato (£6.95) was minute and the goats cheese and £7.95 for a small crumpet topped off with a thin slice of goats cheese and onion marmalade is outrageous. Good coffee and service

This is a very pleasant restaurant/cafe. The staff were attentive, friendly, and polite (despite my service rating below). The food was good without being exceptional. However, the service was extremely slow. We waited over 40 minutes for food, and another 15 for coffee. We will eat here again, but will bring reading material next time. Perhaps they just didn't have... More

Stopped off with hubby for lunch today. Coffee was nice and hot and not too strong for a latte. I chose goat's cheese and onion marmalade while hubby had crayfish tails with Marie Rose sauce. We both opted for the warm ciabatta which was just right - warm but not too hot and crispy. The staff were really chirpy and... More

Called in for a quick coffee with my husband. Although twice the price of my usual place, the coffee was good and there was a very busy atmosphere, as this is a popular venue. Staff were friendly and attentive, seats upstairs were like a sitting room and very comfy.

I've just waited over 25 minutes for a jacket potato with ham, cheese and mushroom with a salad garnish. The young woman serving did apologise though and offered to get me something else.

First time I've ever been to swaffham we stopped here for a browse on a tour of norfolk and popped in to the market cross cafe for a drink and I must say the hot chocolate was the best I've ever had! We sat downstairs which was cosy and quite busy.
