My husband and I visited here with our dog today. We were on a dog walk and stumbled upon it, seeing there were other dogs in the garden we thought we'd give it a try as it's sometimes hard to find nice dog friendly places! We sat outside in the sunshine and ordered freshly made sandwiches: coronation chicken baguette and... More

We were made very welcome and our order was taken promptly. Our jacket potatoes were absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had! Lovely vintage crockery and surroundings. My only disappointment was the cakes, we went for scones with jam and cream. Wasn't enough cream for me, found the scone very dry and difficult to swallow. My advice... More

Luckily I had booked a table as the tea rooms were very busy. This pretty, vintage inspired village eaterie looks as if it has been taken out of a Home and Garden magazine! This was a nostalgic surprise trip for my Mum. We sat in a small nook surrounded by books and cushions......lovely. Service was friendly and first class. Food... More

Tasty, but incredibly poor value take away afternoon tea. Not even jam or cream with the scones or tea. Had a takeout as illness stopped the visit. We were asked to pay rather than rearrange.

Thank you for taking the time to post your 1st ever Tripadvisor review. I feel it only right though to address some of your brief comments. Afternoon Tea is pre-prepared with fresh ingredients. It is not defrosted & served to you like some high street chains. This is why we ask for a deposit, I note that none was paid... More

A lovely little tea room tucked away in the Bedfordshire countryside. Pretty garden if the weather is fine. Afternoon tea is good value and there is a opportunity to purchase goodies while you are there. Quite small so limited space but this adds to its country tea room feel.

With tea rooms popping up all over the place these days I have to say that although spoilt for choice I have to award Southill Tea Room as the best in the area. I've visited here a few times now, in the summer we have enjoyed sitting outside and in the winter we have found inside to be quite comfortable.... More

I visited here with my friend after a morning shopping. I had what they called a Latte but it was more like a milky coffee that formed a skin on top, it was nice though my friend had tea and we both had a piece of coffee and walnut cake which was really good and nice and moist. Was not... More

In the summer it is a lovely spot to have a pot of tea a sandwich and a tea cake served off bone china. The service is usually prompt and a high standard has been maintained since a change of hands, which is reassuring.

Description
The tea room used to be the Southill Post Office until it was closed down a few years ago. It is a jewel. We pride ourselves on home baked cakes and scones and hope that you enjoy them just as much as we do.
