Cozy, historic location with great food! It was a bit on loud side when we arrived for our late, Saturday evening dinner. I believe the noisier environment was due to a football game they had on the tv's and playing through the speakers. Later on, the sports were replaced with music. They had a notable drink menu which included beer,... More
Before I begin..I will mention that we live in the German Village neighborhood where this restaurant is located. The Old Mohawk is as charming out side and in as the neighborhood it is surrounded by. . The ambiance upon walking in is just as you hope it would be..cozy, inviting, relaxed, a welcoming environment where friends and neighbors regularly convene... More
We had fish sandwich with fries and 1/2 salad and 1/2 ruben sandwich. The food was fantastic and we ended up with left overs for aother meal! Salad was huge and sandwich was piled high with corned beef. Wow what a meal. Now, the fish sandwich, holy mackerel, pardon the pun, the fish sandwich was huge. I am a big... More
Looking for a great place to eat? With an enjoyable vibe? With some excellent beverage choices? Should I even mention their Mother Mohawk sandwich & Turtle Soup? Go. Experience it for yourself. Today.
What a nice and easy restaurant to have lunch. The menu has a little bit of everything, but they are mostly known for their mother Mohawk... not your everyday chicken salad! I heard it was excellent but I had the taco salad, mac and chess, and a slice of OMG rum cake! Everything we awesome!! Our server was very helpful... More
Haven't been to The Old Mohawk in a long time and it didn't disappoint! Started off with Sweet Potato Tots, done with the right amount of crisp and great dipping sauce. Wife had the artichoke dip and was very pleased with it. I had the Mohawk with roast beef and chicken salad on caraway rye bread, VERY GOOD. Wife had... More
The food was delicious, and well prepared. I would highly recommend to all of my friends. I loved the atmosphere, the scenic and rustic streets, and the German village theme.
We had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, the spinach salad, and the beef stew bowl. All were good and our waitress was appropriately attentive. The restaurant was quiet enough that we could have a conversation with out great difficulty, which is nice. If we lived near by, we would try this restaurant again so we could try something else on the... More
Had lunch with family. The kettle chips were a great appetizer. I had the chicken ravioli, it was good but probably wouldn't get it again. Wasn't a fan of the shredded chicken in side. My brother had the turtle soup and hasn't stopped talking about it!!! Nice atmosphere, would definitely go again!
