We had phenomenal service from our server. We had 2 young children with us and she took excellent care of us in spite of the chaos of the kids. Food was great with a small menu that lends itself to excellence in each item. Mix of vegan and traditional items with all ingredients fresh and well integrated. The Imposter sandwich... More

We have dined at Black Creek for about 8 years, usually before going to the Lincoln Theatre. We have also dined with family and friends, the last time in February. We went on the spur of the moment last night on the Ides of March. We encountered a new menu. Many old options are gone. Mussels, duck tostada. No more... More

We were here after a matinee show. Almost empty upon arrival, but by 6:45 most tables were full. Might want a reservation on OpenTable. At OpenTable there was the 'old' menu (pretty eclectic and quite a bit of variety). They are currently serving off the 'new' menu which is fairly limited, mostly pricier pub/comfort food. Pretty good wine/beer selection, at... More

Let me start by saying that this place provides great service. Ajay was our server and he was outstanding --- super friendly, helpful, and funny. For appetizers we got the fries. I actually wanted to try the liver, but was over-ruled by my family. They were just okay. Nothing special. The dipping sauce with them was pretty good, though. For... More

Executive chef just changed. I've been here many, many times and I was very used to the cuisine so I will need to reserve my judgement a little until I've sampled a little more of the new menu. I was not impressed with the flatbread in padella or the chicken fried rainbow trout. Both were pretty bland in comparison to... More

They have great menu choices and $5 apps if you go early enough (check their website for days and times.) Lots of beverage choices also (beer, wine, cocktails.) My companion had a few appetizers for the meal. Bacon dip was awesome! I also had salmon (the meal.) Great! The only downfall is our server wasn't super attentive. And as the... More

My wife and I have dined at Black Creek on a number of occasions, but this is my first review. We like Black Creek because it opens for dinner at 4 pm. We are usually going to an event either at the Lincoln Theatre, which is close by, or downtown, a short drive down Broad Street. Thus, we make reservations,... More

This review was written by my guest and entered under my name. There is nothing written here that I do not agree with: "One must start with a positive comment; so here it is: The three of us really liked the olive oil with roasted garlic and herbs that accompanied the rolls. We were taken to our table by a... More

Only had a short amount of time for lunch and decided to pick a location near my next stop. Nice atmosphere, well priced good food with an active lunch crowd.

We were looking for a place for lunch after viewing the Picasso exhibit at CMoA and stumbled upon Black Creek Bistro. Wow, what a lucky find. The service was top notch. I had a locally sourced ham and cheese with a side of caesar salad. Perfect. Normally caesar salads are swimming in dressing, this one was just right, not too... More
