Dropped in for brunch. Beautiful location overlooking the lake. We had the cooked breakfast and the toasted vegie roll which was delicious. Staff were friendly.

Four of us for lunch on a Saturday. The place was busy. We sat outside and it was sheltered so it was fine although the plastic seats got hard after a while. Food was Okay although I would have liked sauce with my pie. Service...was friendly.More

Our first time there and had lunch with friends. Service was fast, polite and friendly and meals were good value for money and served piping hot. Our meals were chilli and lime squid, crumbed gummy shark, chicken schnitzel and the house special burger. Very busy...while we were there and all meals we saw were of generous size, looked and smelt delicious.More

After a morning shopping, my friend suggested we stop here for lunch. Good menu to choose from. I had a toasted wrap with chicken and salad. Very tasty and filling.

We usually enjoy this place but the attitude of the younger staff detracts from the experience. It's not about the register screens but about the customer!!. Hospitality includes a smile, eye contact, a positive attitude and a tad of style!. Why not train staff to...elevate the experience above bland transactional drudgery? VH hospitality is at an all time low at present. It's time that customers started voting with their feet. I dine out to enjoy myself and I expect to be delighted by the service! Otherwise, why would I want to dine out??More

Our second visit as holiday makers. We love this place and look forward to coming back. Awesome coffee, the cakes are to die for and we recommend you try a meal from their specials. We had a baked dinner, it was delicious! It's usually busy...but if the locals go then it must be good and it actually is! Pricing is pretty good and meal size sufficient. It has a homely feel, it's cosy, peaceful and the people working their are friendly and polite. All things we appreciate.10/10 from us.More

We lunched here today and not having made a reservation were grateful that the very pleasant and welcoming wait staff found us a spot in what was a very busy lunchtime To its credit the restaurant scrupulously maintained social distancing requirements and had two staff...clearly identified as marshals— well done. Unfortunately the meals didn’t quite measure up to our expectations— my wife’s stuffed mushrooms was a huge dish with four individual stuffed mushrooms but she found them overpowered by the dressing/sauce used. My home made pie of the day was also very large but was very dry and lacking in gravy I don’t want to be a knocker as it must be really difficult running a restaurant these days. Service was 5 star as was attention to Covid 19 rules but the food let it down— 3 stars at best We will give the place another try when things return to normalMore

The COVID-virus is playing havoc with many businesses, and there is always the wish that things were back the way they used to be! We arrived at this café to find most of the tables empty with ‘Reserved’ signs on them. We come for coffee...and cake and are allotted a table, and later other people arrive and are given tables, so I think the signs were a ploy to help get correct seating. Anyway, our piece of passion fruit torte is delicious and my cappuccino is superb: the service is as good as ever!More
