Excellent food, nothing is too much trouble. The squid schnitzel is incredible! Also fun things like a camel burger. All homemade and good quality. We were here 6 months ago and made a special trip to come back. Didn't disappoint- wonderful once again. Also a...great lolly & ice cream shake shop next door, run by same people. The best chocolate thickshake in SA!More

We had just come across the border into SA from Queensland. Now in Self Isolation. After driving 840klm we were invited to rest behind the pub. Had a lovely breakfast, all within the rules of Self Isolation. Nothing was too much trouble, to get us...on our way home safely. Thank you Adrian. 😁More

Nice little hotel, warm friendly staff. We are travelling so stayed behind the hotel ( free) then went for a couple of drinks then stayed for dinner. By doing this you help out these small towns that have found the last couple of years hard...( fires, floods, COVID. Lovely hot meal. Would highly recommend this stop over.More

We are 2 couples from south of Melbourne travelling on a big trip. We parked our caravans overnight for free in the car park at the rear. Had a very good meal and cold beers. Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I...am so glad we stopped in and didn’t pass by. These businesses need our tourism dollars.More

Revisited this Hotel and what a let down. First revisit we booked for 6-00pm and meals for four adults served around 30 minutes later. At 7-00pm were asked to leave because they wanted to close. Revisited last night and it was one big stuff up....I was unable to order my normal GF Chicken Royal because they took it off the menu a/c Covid-19, why?, "could not be told why". So I ordered grilled fish with chips and salad and got two small pieces covered in half shelled prawns, some yucky sauce and chips. I did not order that particular serve. Wife got a friends meal, it was asked if it was the correct order and was told "YES". Mate received my wifes meal which was also queried and told it was correct. I ordered two small bottles of Merlot and was going to be served two white wines instead, luckily I noticed before they were opened. Whilst all this was going on my meal was getting colder. Will I go back again? Answer is a BIG "NO". If orders can't be served correctly and the owner /waitress, barmaid does not know the drinks ordered then why are they doing the job? been there long enough to know.More

Stopped overnight in Peterborough and decided to go to the Commercial for dinner as it was close. The menu was comprehensive with plenty of choice, and the beer was cold. We chose chicken schnitzel and rissoles as they were made by the local butcher and...I figured that had to be better than the ones normally supplied out of boxes. Great choice as the two meals with mash, vegetables and gravy were excellent. Couldn’t finish it all as was a big feed. I will go back tomorrow for the all day breakfast with REAL coffee. Too good!More

Don't waste Yr time had fish and chips 21.50 took it home for the chickens. Veggies not cooked. I travelled 1.1/2 for the worst meal ever. Service was fine. Coffee asked for half strength again so strong I felt sick after. Mc Donald's would have...been better and cheaper. Don't waste Yr time. Carolyn roseworthy.More

One of the best pub meals in Peterborough is now closed. The owner Phil has pulled the pin and has taken retirement, a lot of trip advisor people who have eaten here will miss it . I do
