Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just had a bacon and egg roll and a flat white coffee ordered extra hot. The top of the bacon and egg roll was burnt with parts that were charred black. The coffee was luke warm, watery and pretty well tasteless. We were told that...the card reader was "down" so we had to pay cash. My husband had a thickshake and a bacon and egg roll, also burnt but not as blackened. We were charged $31.50 for the two rolls, coffee and thickshake. Very disappointing.More

Must have got them on a bad day. The waitress was grubby, I think they forgot to put the coffee in the coffee and the food was beyond disgusting. And then there was the toilet!!!!!! The place should be condemned.

Wonderfully unique atmosphere in Old Cinema Theatre, complete with lots of memorabilia. Good varied menu for very good price. Friendly and efficient service and tasty fresh food. We loved it so much we plan to have another meal on our way out of town.

This is a very quirky cafe that we enjoyed for all the old movie memorabilia and the way it had been set up with respect to this Hollywood period. We had met for coffee and our husbands had a muffin each which we both shared....the coffee was too hot but when it cooled down it was enjoyable, the service was excellent and the muffins were very good.More

Very much like a museum, this old theatre has a small cafe area set up in the front corner. The coffee was good - unfortunately no gluten free cake options available.

This place could be so much more. Very dirty and dusty, even the floor. Curiosities are just dumped around with no care given. Food is average but well priced. Hints: if you're going to serve hot drinks with a spoon please supply a saucer to...put it on, potential messy to eat food needs to come with serviettes. Staff was friendly. Please run a duster over everything, clean the couches and seats and vacuum and mop the floor. Also, if public have to walk through back yard to the toilet please clean up the yard.More

Good takeaway coffee and generously filled meat pie served by friendly folk. Inside it is a bit cluttered and seating currently not available due to COVID. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Probably the best recreation of an old movie theatre I’ve seen. Full of memorabilia and very good coffee. Nice friendly staff and very efficient. A must in Peterborough.

Forget the coffee that was average and not hot enough but the breakfast was good. Traditional scrambled eggs just how they have been prepared for eons. My husband enjoyed his as well. Great space very interesting enjoyed our breakfast stop here. A good country breakfast...no fancy trimmings needed.More

A very interesting setting but that was where it ended. Thought we would have a coffee and cake in the late morning. Choice of cakes was limited to vanilla slices which were not very appetizing. Coffee was in a large mug but was not nice.

While driving through Peterborough we were on the lookout for a lunch stop and spotted the tables out side the the word “CAFE”. We were surprised at what we found once we entered. Although the cafe itself is pretty standard it’s the unique setting that...make this worth a visit.More
