Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took awhile to locate as we were looking for Nepalese Temptations and discovered the business is now Indian Express. Once that was sorted we settled down to a banquet style dinner. The food was fresh and tasty and they had a good drinks list. Helpful...service as well. Recommended.More

We had been running around all day & were ready to drop, this place gave us all we needed & more. The service is kind & attentive. We had the goat curry special, which I would highly recommend. Also a chicken in Nepalese spices, #10...on menu which we all found delicious. The garlic naan was exceptional, & very generously sized. We were all very happy with our meal. Relaxed, & comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be backMore

Having come from a family that ate Madras styled curry frequently the food at Nepalese Temptation was Devine. The staff were very attentive.

Stayed in Hahndorf for 3 nights and found this on our first night and were not disappointed. The service was good and very helpful and both the Chilli Chicken and House special Chicken Massala were extremely tasty. Also the choice of beers was good.

Nepalese restaurants seem to be drying up in Melbourne, and when you do find one, they have fused it with other Asian foods. So when we discovered this restaurant during our weekend visit in Hahndorf, we had to take the opportunity to indulge. They didn’t...disappoint! Proper Nepalese meals that were fresh and of high quality. Even our waiter had the kind, generosity of a true Nepali - he surprised our children with a mango lassi each, on the house. If this restaurant was a local of ours, we’d be regulars!More

Excellent service, very pukka Nepali food at affordable prices. Flavours took us back to Kathmandu. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 nights in Hahndorf with my mother, on the second night we discovered this delightful place to eat. Fabulous goat curry, one of the best I’ve ever tasted! The fish curry wasn’t far behind! We enjoy it so much we ate there twice and...both the service and the food was spot on. Will return again in the future, thank you for two very pleasant meals.More

The service in this restaurant is very polite and friendly. Complimentary pappadums were brought whilst we browsed the menu which was a good start. When we came to order, not all the dishes were available which was disappointing but what we had was good -...not outstanding and not very spicy either. My main gripe was the toilet which was the public toilet outside - didn't even have loo roll or hand towels - disgusting.More

Rather that the usual pub grub we thought we would try Nepalese food and as soon as we walked in we were hit with these fantastic aromas of spices. The staff were extremely polite and could not do enough for us which is something of...a rarity these days. The menu is mainly curries and you can choose the heat level which ours was mild. My wife had the marinated barramundi and I had goat curry with rice and both were delicious. So good in fact we returned the following evening and grabbed takeaway beef curry, chicken curry, rice and the gave us pappadums for free. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone and have nothing but praise for the staff. CheersMore

We were a walk in.. they were busy which always a great indicator but the beautiful owner agreed for us to come back in 30 minutes. We were so well served. Enjoyed our first "mustangs" Nepalese beers and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Tasting platter for...entree was perfect shared. Good size serves and flavours and aromas to immerse in. We will return.. worth every cent and reasonably priced too 😊More
