A beautiful place for lunch on a summer Sunday- local wines, great food and spectacular architecture. The staff are great and allow you to enjoy the time on the grounds. Kingsbrook White wines are my tip

We had driven past many times and were intrigued by the combination of well maintained gardens and faded grandeur of the house, reminded me of a French chateau. Notice out front said open for lunch on Sunday's only, seemed predominantly a wedding/function venue, so one Sunday we went to have lunch, had a moments difficulty locating how we actually entered... A definite go to when in the Fleurieu peninsula. Good value for money Mediterranean influence of surroundings. Delicious food Lovely wines Excellent smiling happy service despite being very busy. Close proximity to surrounding holiday destinations such as Victor Harbour, Goolwa, Pt Elliot and only 1.5 hours from Adelaide CBD.

Ate here the other Sunday for lunch with friends who had told us about the 'owner' who comes across as a grumpy/unhappy fellow. Yes he looked like he would rather be elsewhere, instead of serving food to customers. Wasn't overly impressed as that can make or break a business. Luckily for him the food was outstanding. We shared arancini balls,... More

And as for staff they were nothing but friendly professional happy helpful and the waiter pizza guy was funny too. believe... More

In the middle of nowhere an hour or so out of Adelaide we found this 19th century restored estate serving the most delicious food in an atmosphere reminiscent of Tuscany. Although their main business seemed to be weddings, there is a modestly sized courtyard dining area. The food was exceptional as was the setting but the service unfortunately left much... More

Visited Kingsbrook for the first time last summer and just raved about it. Loved the dogs (think they are Bouvier des Flandres), the setting was fantastic, the food great and the service good. This summer, very disappointed. The setting remains amazing and the dogs are still ever-present, however the service was very poor. Had to ask for glasses for our... More

I had lunch here last year and the owner was smoking at the next table. His dog was running thru the restaurant. The service was poor , food average. Then to top it off they could not accept visa and we had to scrounge the money to pay cash. Awful experience.

You just have to GET Kingsbrook. It is an experience of eating in a family owned and run restaurant. A gorgeous Alfresco environment, rustic beauty, bougainvillea laden terrace. Fabulous food and wine especially for those who have experienced similar restaurants in Italy or France. Anna and Chris are attentive hosts who we always have fun with. Enjoy every visit and...
