We’ve visited and stayed at the Granite Belt Brewery in Stanthorpe quite a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. On our most recent visit we enjoyed dinner in their restaurant. The menu is not extensive and offers only options of 2 or 3 courses per person for set price of $50 or $68 respectively. Whilst limited, the options are gourmet and varied. We enjoyed seared scallops and duck spring rolls for entree, pork cutlet for main and affogato for dessert. The pork came with sweet potato, spinach, Persian feta and pistachio with roasted grape and a port reduction. The dessert of Affogato was the highlight of the meal however. Served with house-made kahlua and vanilla ice cream served in a choc chip cookie cup with a shot of espresso on the side. Different and delicious.

The menu is not what you expect for a brewery. I would’ve like to of seen a chicken parmy, and/or a burger on the menu. My husband and I were very taken back by the fancy pants menu options when we were hoping for a good pub style feed.
Now in saying that. The food was absolutely delicious 🤤
The pricing in regards to the menu structuring was extremely fair and reasonable too, although again odd for a brewery that we just didn’t expect.
All in all a great experience at the Resturant. Would I eat there again for dinner. Probably not, we are too big of fans for our chicken parmy and burger style meals with our beers.

Thank you for your honest feedback.
When we opened the brewery, we decided to offer guests something different from the pizza's, burgers etc that we have on our lunch menu. We feel dinner should be a 'better' experience and when guests are staying onsite, it's really nice for them to have a different menu for lunch and dinner so they have a different experience.
Our business is quite different to other breweries as we have accommodation, a full restaurant , function room etc.
We are so glad that you enjoyed your meals for dinner:)
Thank you,
Team GBB

We recently stayed at Granite Belt Retreat and loved every minute we were there. The meals were fantastic and generous. The beer, gin and cider was great and we couldn't fault a thing. We were there 2 nights and the welcome crate for breakfast the first morning was almost perfect. We had a 3 course dinner that night which was delicious and a hot continental breakfast on offer the following morning.
The only complaint would be not enough homemade muesli included in the welcome crate but otherwise spot on.
Definitely recommend to anyone who asks.

We were a group of 50 that booked in for lunch and a tour months ago and confirmed by them in writing .. written confirmation confirmed lunch could be selected from the menu over the afternoon . We arrived at midday and were due to leave at 3:30pm. We were also advised that live music would be offered. When we arrived we were directed to a private room away from the main restaurant. Couldn’t hear the music, and we were provided with a special menu (Afternoon Snack Menu) offering chicken wings, loaded fries, tortilla chips or a Meze plate. Full stop!! Then to rub salt into the wound we paid $20 for a tasting paddle of beers which we discovered later can be purchased for $15. But we were offered a tour of the brewery! Well actually it was a tour of a little room where we were invited to read the history!!

Had not been there for a few years, went for lunch last Thursday.
Selection of Bar food, OK we have had it before, understandably mid-week in Stanthorpe you don’t get silver service.
The better half had fish and chips, OK the chips were nicely cooked, and the fish is the same sort of oval fish Pattie that I buy at the local woollies.
I had nachos, one other couple in the restaurant and they had been served, yet our meals came out 10 minutes apart. My Nachoes when they arrived, were grilled to death, cheese adhering to the cardboard container they came in. No Salsa, no chives or onions, few bits of stringy meat on the top, claimed to be pulled pork. About 2 spoons of white goo, and the same of reconstituted Guacamole. After the first soggy and over cooked layer, there was just a mass of dry corn chips. Ate very little of it.
Had their Irish Red which I always loved. Bit warm and old. Looking out on the brewery, it does not seem to be operating.
Being a local I know it changed ownership a while ago, whether the original owner got tired, or the new owner is just squeezing the profits, I don’t know. What I do know is that I will never be back

Visited on the weekend with some friends after a recommendation from our airbnb host.
Lunch was yummy and beers were good. Service was disappointing. A young girl was doing a good job but the lady with long hair was mopey behind the bar and rude when we paid.
Would return for the food. Hope your service improves though.

We booked for dinner on a Sunday night. It was freezing outside so entering to a warm cosy bar was lovely. We ordered the three course option for dinner. The choices for each course were very nice. My course were all well cooked and tasty although a companion who ordered the venison said it was terrible - tough and lacking flavour. For $65 for the three courses it was very affordable

It was ok, just nothing special. I had pulled pork burger which had way too much pulled pork on it, most of it fell out of the burger. Very messy. My husband had pizza, which he said had a flavour that he couldn’t quite work out, but he didn’t like it much.

We recently celebrated a special birthday here. We had a group of 39 people and were in the function room for a 2 course meal. The food was excellent, delicious, lovely presentation and very reasonably priced. There were a few dietary requirements that needed to be met, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Almost everyone stayed in the accommodation on site and 23 of us had dinner in the restaurant the next night as well. Again, everyone commented on the quality of the meals and how quickly they were served. We are considering making a visit here an annual event for most of us. The front of house staff were lovely, very accommodating, friendly and helpful. There was really nothing that we could fault about the whole 3 days.

We went to the Brewery for lunch today. Great drive in from Stanthorpe through an interesting landscape of trees and granite outcrops. Deciduous avenue close to the facility was leafy and cool and would look lovely in Autumn.
Parking well marked and a short walk to the brewery.
Greeted in a warm and friendly manner and taken straight to our table. Water and menus immediately to hand.
My husband chose a tasting board of beers, and for me a really good local Fiano wine. Great to see mostly local wines with a few others. Local ones are asterisked so it’s easy to support the local winemakers.
Husband choose a pot of one of the beers he’d sampled. Declared it delicious.
For someone who is Gf, I was wrapt to see Pulled Pork Nachos on the menu.
For once I was able to have something hearty and moreish rather than always have to have a salad or similar.
GF items or GFO (options ) clearly marked, as are dairy free.
My partner’s Venison Pie was beautifully presented in a free form pastry sitting on mash and jus. He raved about it.
Finished with a GF Choclate Tart then wandered for home.
Thank you for a lovely lunch.

First and foremost: I have never had such good food at a brewery - even ethnic food is definitely worth a try (I had my hesitations, but courageously tried and found myself well rewarded). The portions are generous, the food looks appetizing and the taste is excellent. The service is very well organised and set up in such a way that endless waits are avoided. The choice of beers is wide, the range and quality of the wines definitely impressive. In case of doubt: Ask the waitress behind the bar - she knows her wines!

We got married in the vineyard at the brewery last week, and held our reception in the small venue room, and everything was wonderful. The food was very tasty and well curated, and the service could not be faulted (Lori was an absolute superstar and made sure the groom and bride had everything we needed or wanted). Dee was fantastic to deal with in the lead up to the big day and I felt so at ease all morning knowing everything was taken care of. 100% recommend if you are thinking of getting married in the Granite Belt region! We will absolutely be back for dinner and drinks as often as we can be.

This possibly the worst meal my wife and I have ever eaten ( or nearly )
Wife’s scallops over cooked and burnt . Any cook worth that title knows they shouldn’t be overcooked. My duck spring roll also burnt.
Barramundi crispy skin should be as the description says crispy not like a soggy sock terrible and when this was pointed out to the waitress she said” I’m a vegan so l wouldn’t know” perhaps not the response l was expecting. My Rogan Josh was, not worth a comment. I would have refused to pay, but it was a Granite Belt special so prepaid. So not a possibility.
Please don’t bother, you’ll be disappointed. Save your money
