Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stopped in for brekkie based on the great TA reviews. I will admit that they’re food is great, but coffee is very average. We ordered a bacon sandwich (will feed two), and fruit toast. All the food was excellent and great value, but our flat whites were very weak (even though we asked for double shots), and milk was too hot. The espresso shots were too long. We recommend this place for food, but I would give the coffee a pass.

Bakearoma is a gem! Located on a corner of Roma's main street, it is in the heart of Roma's CBD, with plenty of free on-street parking.
There's seldom 'a rush' in Roma, but breakfast time is the closest time to 'the rush'. Locals and tourists alike front up for a range: fresh breads and pastries, pies, sandwiches, cakes, and freshly-prepared meals. But best of all is my eggs benedict with flat white coffee.
Staff are excellent; always attentative, pleasant, and busy!
And as is most often the case in a country town, a pleasant chat with a local is always on the cards.
Well done Bakearoma!

I was disappointed with this bakery. There was no country atmosphere and the food was poor. I ordered a pastry and when I looked at it it was very dry looking. I turned it over and the bottom was all burnt. I took it back and they offered me another one which was exactly the same. I was then given the choice of the display but what I choose was not tasty. All in all not satisfying

Great place to stop for lunch in Roma. Tired of fried food and chips while on holiday I ordered the sweet potato and beet salad with chicken - it was delicious! Very fresh and chicken well cooked. Our table also ordered the Caesar salas and a pulled pork burger - all very much enjoyed. Bought one of the fresh cream donuts for later which was also delicious. Great location with both inside and outside dining.

We went there on Friday 10/6/22. The coffee was great & sweets were even better. We revisited it on Saturday 11/6/22. Service was very slow, coffee was weak & cold. Couldn’t get any staff to take notice of us to advise them of the coffee. We left our coffee on the table. We thought we would give them another try on Sunday morning. They weren’t that busy so we thought this time we might be lucky. I ordered our coffee strong & very hot which the young lad put on our docket. I also ordered a scone & ask the young man could I have it with butter on the side as we were eating in. He handed me a container with the scone in it & I ask him if he put butter in with it. He said I cut it & buttered it. I said that’s not what I asked for. When I sat down the scone was nearly buttered on one side only. I had to ask another staff to get me some butter. Our coffee arrived & I said I hope they are hot. She replied yes they are. We took a sip to cold coffee. I went to the young girl & told her she could replace the coffee with hot coffee. She brought us 2 new cups this time hot but one strong one weak. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you want hot coffee. The barista making them kept yelling could someone do a run instead of talking. This is what happens when businesses employ very young staff. Most of the staff working looked like high school students. On Friday the staff were much older & the service was excellent.

Stopped in for breakfast on a cold morning. We ordered four bacon and egg rolls and could't believe how enormous they were. Double the size I was expecting. They were tasty. We are a family of five and my youngest ordered a pie for b'fast (!) which looked good and we also got a tub of fruit salad. It was all great.

We stopped here for breakfast while travelling through from Longreach to Brisbane. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent with large servings the order of the day. The prices were very reasonable for the meals received. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon and I asked for the sausage and egg meal with some bacon added. My meal consisted of two large sausages two beautifully fried eggs, a heap of bacon, grilled tomato and crisp buttered toast. My friend was full of compliments for his meal. If you are looking for a decent feed at a reasonable cost, try Bakearoma!

The bakery had great wraps and a wide choice of bakery food. We had a chicken wrap and a ham wrap and both were very fresh and tasty. We couldn't resist the jam drops and we were so glad we didn't. They were delicious. Best I've ever had!

Don't go past this place if you are ever visiting Roma...it has the best selection of food and beverages we have come across in our travels. The bread is full of flavor and all the pastries look and taste unreal....we needed more time to get through everything in the cabinets.

Classic country bakery with friendly staff and a huge selection of delicious looking food. We had a selection of items including raisin toast, pastries, toasted sandwiches and fruit salad. All great. Seating inside and out.

Great place for a coffee and a pastry, savoury or sweet, they have it all.
Called for a coffee before setting off for next leg of touring holiday. This is our third visit, we have made it a must stop on our travels to the west. Coffee was enjoyable, made just as I requested and sausage rolls made and baked to perfection.
There is seating outside so you can watch the rest of the world go by as you enjoy your coffee.

A must do stop every time one goes through Roma. I loved everything about this place - the coffee is outstanding (5 sizes to choose from); the bread is soft and delicious; the pies are mouth-watering; the baked desserts are scrumptious; the breakfasts and lunches fresh and tasty. Yummy!!

We had lunch in here and found it so hard to choose……so many yummy things. Sandwiches, wraps, rolls, pies galore, sausage rolls and every kind of sweet baked item you could want. Lots of bread too., as well as tea and coffee etc. You can eat in or takeaway….and we did both. Our beef and salad sandwiches for lunch were really nice and we took home some sausage rolls and pies for tea later. Quick and friendly service and not too expensive.

We stopped for a quick lunch. I had chicken and salad wrap and my wife a chicken, cheese and lettuce sandwich. We were not very impressed with either. The main issue was the chicken – it seemed to be pre-frozen, it certainly wasn’t chicken cut from a chook that day, it had an opaque look to it. The salad was mainly cheese. I wouldn’t rush back. There cooked meals might be better.

We popped in here for a break from driving from Injune to Chinchilla.
There was a great choice of delicious looking pies, savoury items, and cakes. Our selection of the chunky beef pie and spinach and feta roll was rewarded with tasty food! Coffee was a little slow in arriving, but it didn’t matter.
Staff were efficient and friendly.
We also bought a custard tart and apple slice for afternoon tea. These were also delicious 😋.
My only comment would be how such a reasonable sized place doesn’t offer toilets? Staff pointed out public facilities across the road, but it would have been so much nicer to have on the premises.
