Had a great dinner here last night. Can thoroughly recommend the lamb chops which were served with a delicious salad and crispy hot chips. My husband had the beef casserole special and said it was good too. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Don’t miss this place. All it’s meat is sourced from the local butchers!

We stopped in for lunch. At the bar we were given a menu but there is a much larger one on a blackboard in the bistro.
I had grilled barramundi and salad. It was delicious. The tartare sauce was about the best I have ever had. The serving was generous. The salad was an interpretive Greek salad. Again it was excellent.
My wife had grilled lamb chops. It was a man sized serving of four perfectly cooked chops with veggies. She loved the mint jelly.
There is little wonder this place wins many awards.

We had 2 meals at this pub and both were more than we had hoped. The blokes behind the bar on Saturday and Sunday were just great.
Day 1 Got pork chops and on both plates were 2 pork chops heaps of salad and chips one one and heaps of hot vegies on mine bloody beautiful.
Day 2 I got lamb chops low and behold I got 3 decent not overcooked lamb chops with once again mash and viegies and other meal was fisherman basket, absolutely spot on for both.

Just had the best meal I've had for ages. Staff and service was fantastic.
Sam was the best one, if she likes you you can get an extra scoop of ice cream on your desert. Do your self a favour call in for a drink and meal, you will leave very satisfied

After a long day of driving we booked into the Mud Hut for a cold drink, hot meal and a bed for the night.
We were greeted with amazing friendly hospitality and ordered some food.
Typical pub offerings but i chose a rump steak, rare, chips and salad, mushroom sauce.
The food was amazing and cooked perfectly.
The beers were cold and we had a punt on tbe tab.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming
A quick spin on tbe pokies and back to tbe room for a kip.
Tbe accomodation was basic donga style but clean and well maintained.
Tbe beds were comftable and the showers were hot and had good water pressure.
Would absolutely stay here again.

Despite the power being lost due to a storm, the staff at the hotel were so hospitable, friendly, apologetic and were able to cook up literally the BEST snitchel and salad I’ve had in a pub. So fresh, such great quality chicken and tasty and fresh salad. The staff were so considerate of our comfort and constantly checked up on us. Fantastic service, spend your money here. Thanks again, Thelma and Louise:)

Stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pub meals. The selection of food is pretty standard for Australian country pubs, but the quality and serving size was very good. Would recommend for a stop by if you are travelling through Richmond.
Oh, and beer is reasonably priced too.

Have stopped here a few times on our way to the coast, and is now a must. The food is awesome, proper "Pub Grub" full of flavour, portions are huge and the prices are perfect! The drinks are cold & nips are on the "generous " side, also reasonably priced. The staff & locals are just priceless & Oscar is adorable! 🐾❤️ Highly recommend stopping in on your travels

Our group of 6 were a total inconvenience from the start. Was served a glass of wine that was off and when asked for a replacement was abused verbally by owner in the main bar. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. So much for trying to support small town businesses. Don't bother going here, they obviously dont want tourists.

Day after Boxing Day and had an excellent dinner! Steak was cooked perfect and so tender, spaghetti bolognaise was really tasty. Big meals! Great quick friendly service, Mark made us feel really welcome. Worth a meal stop if you’re ever passing through.

We had dinner and drinks here last night and were very impressed with the food. Butterfly chicken breast with avocado and prawns in a garlic cream sauce. Absolutely delicious. Service was terrific and very reasonably priced.

Great friendly atmosphere, good food and great service! The food is prepared fresh and by a fantastic chef and so quickly too! You will not be kept waiting for your order at all. The prices are fair as the portions are generous, good ingredients as well as quick and friendly service. The bistro and bar is kept very clean and the staff regularly maintain hand washing when handling cash.

We stayed here and ate here for one night only. The food was average (was expecting better from the reviews but we had much better elsewhere on our trip) and they got the order wrong which I thought was poor when there was only 3 of us.
Staff were ok, but I got the impression they couldnt be bothered with us.
Check in was in the bar and was a bit rushed. Unit itself was tidy even if it was a bit dated. Pool was a bit dirty and we opted not to swim in it.
If I was passing through Richmond I wouldnt stay here again and I wouldnt eat here again.

Neat, clean, attractive accommodation - - comfortable beds, good showers. Food in the pub was great - plenty of it, lamb chops were first class, pepper sauce great, best chips I’ve had in ages. Staff friendly and hard working.

Long time reader, first time writer! I don’t normally do these but felt I had to. We had a long day driving from Airlie beach with our 2 yr old daughter, checked into the caravan park across the rd and thought we head down for dinner. We were met by friendly staff and a great pub meal! By all means nothing fancy but just what we felt like! A good honest meal which went down a treat, even made a 2 yr old happy. Would recommend this place
