Great chunky meat pie for my husband and a delicious Tim tam slice for me. Only disappointment was that the advertised special pie wasn’t available at 10am but the sign was up. The lady who served us wasn’t inclined to offer suggestions for alternatives and was quite abrupt.

We stopped in at Oakey en route to Brisbane for some late lunch - about 2.00pm. The main street was quiet to say the least and only action seemed to be at this bakery, with 2 or 3 other customers coming and going and a couple eating at table on the footpath. The cabinets were pretty bare at this point but we got a fresh ham and salad sandwich and an excellent pastie and were happy with that. Nothing particularly special about the place, just an everyday country-town bakery.

Good, genuine country people having a real go here. Plenty of food is an option and their coffee is made to the best of their ability. Good old fashioned outback hospitality

The best coffee at reasonable prices. The bakery food is very good too. The pies are very fresh and tasty. The gourmet sausage rolls are delicious. Great cakes and slices.
