Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I planned this stop on spec, and so glad I did. After a rotten drive up from Brisbane, I nearly discounted stopping here, but I am so glad we did -- what a laugh. Your hosts are just wonderful and warm people, and make the...best scones (try the date and ginger). You actually get tea in a silver pot, real china cups and it is real tea NOT tea bags. You really need to keep an eye our for their sign as it not flashy by any means, but the shop is very interesting.More

The displays are interesting and I really enjoyed browsing. Prices were surprisingly moderate. We had tea and scones on the balcony and the views were stunning. Service was first class. The jam and cream was delicious and very generous and the coffee and hot chocolate...was fine, served in lovely mugs, but sadly the scones were rather stale. Otherwise, a delightful afternoon. Note that they only serve tea, coffee, and scones or fruit cake. This is not a restaurant or fast food place.More

My partner and I stumbled across Geordie Lane on our way up to Montville one day and decided to stop for brunch. We had a delicious pot of tea each, served with fine chinaware along with two fresh scones each. The scones were to die...for! The owners were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this unique little cafe, 10/10.More

Beautiful place. Lovely people and scones, cakes and coffee excellent. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful views. The owner ran out of plain scones and ended up giving me 6 out of the freezer for free!

Owned by the friendly duo Sue and Allen, this is a place frequented by locals and visitors. Homemade scones on the deck along with 180degree views of the Sunshine Coast await once you pull yourself away from the amazing range of rooms filled to overflowing...with antiques and curiosities large and small. The owners are partly retired now so they are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Well worth the visit!More

Great home scones with varieties of Plain, Blueberry, Raspberry, Date & Ginger. Nice selection of teas and they use filtered tank water so no chemicals. Great views towards the coast. Worth the trouble of finding their location on the corner of Benecke Road and Maleny...Monteville Road.More

What an amazing little gem! We got turned away from "King Ludwigs German Restaurant" quite rudely and looked for somewhere with a view. We stumbled across this little beauty. Views are amazing! Great knick knacks, friendly service but best of all - the scones are...delicious and the coffees are served hot and delicious. Very pleased! Highly recommended for a cosy arvo for devonshire tea.More

A gem for those who like something quirky. A change for the eyes with a view outside to the sea and the antiques being a reminder of yesteryear! Keep going back for coffee/tea and scones, which are an absolute delight. A browse of the shop...after the coffee/tea and scones has brought back many a memory of house items that have been part of a family life of those formative years visiting family members. Always like to visit and introduce new people to this gem of a place. Tranquil, rustic and full of what is nostalgia.More

We stopped off here on the way back from Montville and I'm very glad we did. Lovely warm home-baked fresh scones with a choice of raspberry, blueberry, plain or date and ginger. We sat outdoors on a sunny winter's morning and were served our drinks...and scones on beautiful antique plates. Friendly service and there's a great antique collection too. Highly recommend this place.More
