Went with a friend for a ‘catch up’ lunch. Nice ‘bubbly’ as requested. I ordered the wagu burger but was very disappointed - it was oversalted, overcooked and came with far too many chips (a little salad would have made all the difference), not to mention an overpowering sauce. Waste of a good piece of beef really!

For someone who likes IPA craft beers the selection isn't really here. The 10 keg sampler has more fruit/sour tasters than a true hops IPA. If you visit on a Sunday you may need to wait for a table. The food while having fancy names the dish itself is quite plain.

Hey Rita, Thanks so much for your review! I too am a huge fan of IPAs, but we can't fill all our ten taps with strictly IPAs. We love to brew a variety of beer, some which are not so common, and we do love adding some fruit to our beer styles, like our Strawberry Rhubarb Sour and Raspberry Saison. Our weekends do get very busy and it is a good idea to book a table before visiting our Maleny Brewery. We are sorry that you experience a plain meal. Our menu is created seasonally, using local ingredients. Usually, our Chefs produce amazing meals. We hope that you will be back to try our beer and food again.

We dined for lunch and were really impressed with the food. We had the prawn and scallop pizza which was delicious. Only thing that could make it better is if it were woodfired. The brisket burger was excellent - my husband highly rated it. Beers were good as always, just disappointing they only have a set tasting paddle. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Super helpful to have a basket of fun toys for the kids to play with! Would have been better to be offered an inside table as the outdoor tables were all high bar stool setups and our daughter was stuck in a highchair well below the table! Minor complaint for an otherwise terrific spot.

We went yesterday, I had made a booking the week before at 12.30pm, turned up half an hour earlier - told by staff we could sit at the bar, but our kids were with us, so they said, go and come back in half an hour before offering us some seats on their lean to's. Waiting a long time for drink service, by the time we actually got to the table we were just so annoyed, we ordered a bowl of chips while we read over the menu - the menu was very overpriced for where we were and no real selection for the two teenagers that were with us, we ended up leaving after we ate the chips - even to pay for the chips too forever. We won't be returning. So disappointed because I had waited for weeks to get a booking.

I have heard great reviews from friends about this place so was really looking forward to our planned lunch visit. Food & beer didn’t disappoint but I thought the service was below par compared to other breweries/ restaurants I have been. As we had 4 children with us I wanted to order food & drinks for them straight away but was told that I could order drinks but not food at this time. We ordered and received first lot of drinks pretty quickly but then it was another 20 mins before food orders were taken and another 30 mins before some children’s meals arrived. I then ordered more drinks It was another 40 mins after that before the adult meals arrived. It was busy but I would have thought given their reputation this would be normal. It appeared they were short staffed.

Hey G and D, Thanks so much for the feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed your food and drinks. We did get very busy on the holiday season and did our best to staff accordingly. Sometimes a service it can be a little unpredictable. We are sorry that you have bad service on the day that you visited and your feedback has been taken on board. We hope that we will see you at our brewery again soon to give us another chance.

We booked weeks in advance to have lunch on the 29th December after our drive from Brisbane. We sat down and ordered some drinks - cider and beer which were great. We ordered lunch - baked cheese starter and the sausage pizza to share. As tables around us got their meals and left, I was beginning to worry. Eventually the waitress came and said there had been a mistake in the kitchen and it wouldn't be too much longer. The pizza came and it has one small piece of sausage per slice of pizza (if that), it was drowning in oil and the base was cardboardy. Worst pizza we've ever had. The cheese dish was good. Upon leaving there was an issue because our table was charged for the cheese pizza and sausage pizza instead of the cheese dish and sausage pizza. It felt like the cashier (brewer?) thought I was lying. He then asked how everything was, and I said the pizza was terrible. He said sorry but then "how about the drinks, I make them so that's what matters". He lightened a bad situation but didn't really respond adequately by asking what was wrong... I wouldn't go back or recommend.

Average at best and we wouldn't come back. I would of given an average rating if it wasn't for the poor customer service and the lack of care when we told them of the issues we had. We are staying in the units attached to the brewery which has been amazing but also makes it even more dissapointing. The food was very average for the price. When we said we weren't happy about the meals we were told 2 things by the staff in a dismissive way. 1. We were the last so we got the last cuts as our meal. WTF. Our dinner booking was 6.30pm. 2. We only get 5 star reviews so we don't get reviews like this. Again WTF. We arrived at 6.30 and our drink orders were taken. We had to ask for extra drinks as no one came back, even by the time we left no one came back to serve us. It was not under staffed and coming from hotel management background I can confidently say it was a poor service issue and not busy or understaffed. The strangest thing happened when we paid the bill which I can't get my head around. Oyr bill came to $330. We paid the bill and asked to pay part cash and part card. We were told this was fine. $86 was paid by card the rest cash. When we asked for a receipt all meals and drinks had been discounted to add up to this amount such as a $30 meal was now $6. We were told we couldn't be given a tax invoice for the cash component?

Went here for lunch and got a piece of Y-bone that they reckon was Wagyu. It was full of gristle and fat. When I complained about the quality of the meat they said they were running low on the better cuts so could only give us an end piece. Mmmmm not good enough. When you are charging $38 for the wagyu and $36 for a pork chop we would expect much better quality than what we got. My wife tried to order 2 different main courses from their menu and both were out of stock. It was only 12 noon so I would've thought they may have had prepped a bit better than that. A very disappointing experience and won't be returning here anytime soon.

Dinner for two on a Friday night - Wagyu Burger cooked at least an hour before service, fries cold, soggy and over salted. Wife's steak over cooked, tasteless and overpriced. Beer selection and quality remains above average but not good enough to save a night out.

We have been regulars since this venue opened and love but a recent visit was disappointing. It was very busy and no-one seemed to be front of house. We waited 5 minutes for any attention and saw that this was the norm for everyone arriving. The menu is quite limited if you want any main course other than a burger or pizza there are three options. The fish of the day was swordfish and delicious but not hot when brought to the table. The steak was Wagyu blade and this is where it went down hill. Asking how you liked it cooked was pointless as it was about 1 cm thick, the thickness of a minute steak, quite small and my husband was still hungry afterwards. At about $38 it was a ridiculous price. The other special was pork ramen which the person ordering this enjoyed. The wine list and on tap beer save the day and we'll be back as this was the first time we have been disappointed, but next time if that is the steak they are serving we won't order it and in hindsight should have sent it back but then everyone else is eating while you eat alone so we gave it a shot. At a brewery you want a decent steak, forget the wagyu and just buy good local meat. Staff were nice and friendly but someone needs to be in charge.

Being a Wednesday midweek we were really surprised to discover the restaurant was so busy - this didn’t reflect other than good service and great food! Loved the atmosphere and set up here for indoor/outdoor dining. A great selection of craft beers and for wine drinkers too. Our meals (all delicious) were delivered promptly by friendly servers. Our 2nd visit and will be back again soon!

The Strawberry Rhubarb Sour beer was unusual but very tasty and delightfully different. The lunch mains were amazing and the menu cleverly highlights local ingredients. The Sweet Potato Gnocchi was insanely good and a great dairy free option. I wish I could have fitted in a dessert. I will be back even if it's just for a beer. Funky decor too. Thanks guys, well done!

Hey Sandi, Thanks so much for the review! Our Strawbarb is our most popular beer. It is not your run of the mill beer but does great on those hot Qld days. Our Chefs whip up some amazing meals and our menu changes seasonally. Can't wait to see you back at our Maleny brewery!

Only visited to taste beer at this stage. The beer is absolutely amazing and the beers with fruit are next level good. The Nectarine Neipa was something else, just reminded me of being a kid in the backyard orchard. If you could associate beer with memories, this is the place. Very Very good beer.

Hey Scoot, Thanks heaps for the review mate! And it sounds like you had a great childhood living on a nectarine orchard! So glad our NEIPA could take you back there. Next time you swing by you will have to stay for some food! Our seasonal menu uses some of Maleny and the Sunshine Coast's best local produce! And we have pairing option for our beers as well. Hope to see you at our Maleny brewpub again soon!

Nice atmosphere with good food for our group of 12 people I didn’t sample the beer but the red wine was good. The service was efficient and friendly. The lunch menu was limited for main courses and we shared 3 starters which were very good instead.

Always amazing beer, food and service - even during social distancing! We make sure we come to Brouhaha every time we come to Maleny, but recommend making a reservation. Staff are so friendly and accommodating and the beer tasting paddle is a great way to settle in for a great night. Can get cold, so bring a jacket or jumper!
