Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On a recent stay in Maleny, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Sarah's Unplugged on two occasions. They have some great menu options and make the best-ever Burgers and freshly made juices. Staff are always helpful and friendly and if you have specific requests when...ordering food, they're always obliging. Although the place looks a bit messy and cluttered, particularly around the counter, it's not something to hinder a visit. The casual and vibrant atmosphere is both welcoming and relaxing and there are plenty of seating options both inside and out. We'll definitely return next time we're in the area. Note: they are closed on MondaysMore

Sarah's Unplugged is a great cafe with a vibrant atmosphere and lovely food and coffee. There are tables inside, on the footpath, in the arcade adjacent and outside the back in the garden. The walls are decorated with quirky local art. The menu is fresh...and creative and all our meals were delicious. I have been several times and it is always busy but the staff are friendly, service is excellent and fresh juices, coffee and variety of herbal teas are lovely. I had the mushroom burger which was a whole, meaty, field mushroom in panko crumbs on a delicious bun with tasty aioli and salad. Meals were beautifully presented. Special shout-out to Chef Tom who churns out amazing dishes with little assistance, from a small, well organised kitchen that you can view from the cafe. My sister had the salad wrap which was very filling and beautifully presented. My Brother in Law being Italian is always keen sample Burrata. We were lucky to get the last serve for the day so we shared it. It is presented with garlic ciabatta toast, and a cherry tomato and basil salad. He then had the beef burger. All our meals were lovely and servings very generous. There is a colourful array of tempting cakes and sweet treats on display and though we were full, we decided to try the Apple cake, dense and full of flavour with cinnamon and pecans, and the Berry Cheesecake which was rich but not too sweet and a lovely texture. In a small town, full of eating places to compete with, Sarah's Unplugged deserves the excellent reputation it has.More

Had a lovely breakfast. Well cooked and good portions. As visiting from the coast it was very chilly &some heating would have been nice but they had blankets over some of the chairs which we used.

Yo me and tone again - Sarah’s unplugged continues to deliver the very best food and service on the Sunshine Coast. It’s a 30 minute drive for me and there are plenty of good cafes much closer but quality of chef Tom’s breakfast is worth...the drive 1000x over and is a highly anticipated fortnightly ritual for me and my family, one that we are always greeted with a warm smile, great chat a second to none service from Sarah (the owner) and her amazing staff ! The simple things done right, the coffee is always perfect and the complexity and skill chef Tom keeps it interesting with his weekly specials that always deliver !! Best cafe on the coast !!More

The food options were many, the coffee good and juices so very fresh. The meals were very generous and I loved that they offered pay it forward coffee for those less fortunate. Nice vibe.

….why? Because.. the location, the ambiance, the general relaxing atmosphere. Walking up the street and looking for breakfast, then this place appears. Checked out the menu and we were sold. Eggs Benedict and eggs with bacon, toast with fruit and a flat white. OMG the...quality, taste. Presentation and not to forget- the attentive service. Do not eat breakfast any where else, before you try Sarah’s.More

We used to live on the Sunshine Coast & the weekend tradition was Kondalilla Falls followed by breakfast at Sarah’s. The taste & presentation of meals cannot be faulted. Great coffee & fresh juices. Decor is cozy & welcoming. We eat out a lot &...this is by far still our favourite cafe. So much so that we now drive from Brisbane to visit!More

Excellent brunch menu here, and very generous portions. The small touches such as extra hot water with a pot of tea made all the difference. And the sourdough bread was excellent, whether with eggs benedict or smashed avo & halloumi. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a weekend when not much else was opened, however we loved this place. Even the kids who are ver picky eaters asked to come back again the following morning. We visited two days in a row and ordered the same meals on...both days. We really enjoyed the whole experience.More

The food was good. I am not sure if it was a COVID thing but the food was served to the table in a box with wooden cutlery and a sign on the table to put your own rubbish in the bin. This took the...shine off what could have been a great review. I also have an issue with the fact that not one staff member was wearing a mask. I too would also prefer not to wear one but what if we all decided to make up our own rules.More

We had a wonderful breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Sarah's place was packed and our coffee ☕ came out straight away and we both had Eggs Benedict which also came out in a reasonable time. The food and the place has a real authentic...home-made feel too it. I ordered a half serve with bacon and mushrooms which was a really nice option and I was so full. The mushrooms I must say were especially delicious but everything was lovely and the coffee was great. We would definitely come back. Thank you.More

We chose Sarah’s so we could have a glass of wine (in the back garden, which was a nice surprise) with our late lunch after a long drive. The mushroom burger is a triumph of flavours with the crumbed mushroom’s delicious cheesy filling oozing over...the fresh salad and perfect sized focaccia bun. You really need to have one of these.More

My husband has a mild allergy to eggs and while we weren’t concerned at all about cross contamination just no egg on his breakfast, they could not have been more accommodating. My breakfast of avocado on toast was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Coffee and...juices were equally great. We could tell by the line up to get coffee this place was going to be good and it did not disappoint.More

This place was heaving with long queues and a fairly brusque lady taking orders at the counter. The food was nice but somehow the ambience wasn’t relaxing. I’d recommend only if it wasn’t busy.
