Called in to relax and have a cold one, Air Con was welcoming and played the pokies for a little while,Friendly Staff

Check in was confusing as not clearly sign posted where reception was - its at the bar. Door to room took at least 15 minutes to open due to ill repair in the hot sun. We reported this to the bar staff and were told...we weren't turning the handle hard enough. We got a different key and the same issue was there. Upon entry there was an odd smell and the shower was unclean (or had been cleaned with a dirty mop). Hot sun wasnt contained by light coloured curtains. Bed was comfy. No food at the hotel. Very few vegetarian options around the area. Bad vibes in the room. I didn't feel it was worth the higher price tag.More

I enjoyed my 8nights staying here. The room was very clean, spacious, had necessary things like TV, Frudge, Microwave n Kettle. The staff at hotel very friendly n helpful with a lovely smile. About 11 of us attended a BBQ on Friday 15th September at...the hotel hosted by the owners Roly n Estelle. Roly was the chef who cooked our meat . The meat was steak sausages n fish all cooked to perfection. The salads were very tasty with the meat. Then dessert was made by Roly n very delicious. The hospitality extended that night was excellent. The service was great. I fully recommend this hotel to stay at while visiting Longreach. I rate it at 7 stars. From Debbie TillackMore

Wandered in looking for lunch, but a nice cold bevvy first, discovered ONE white wine by the glass (yuk) and same-old on the beers. Headed out to the "beer garden" which was so un cared for it should be condemned. Decided at this point lunch...would be a bad decision so headed through the bottle shop for some takeaways for our onward journey, to find that too had an incredible lack of choices and many empty shelves. Clearly a publican who would rather not be in the game!More

We were surprised at how good the motel room was. It was large, tiled throughout and very well maintained. The hotel itself is quaint, offering a good menu and a Friday night BBQ, where we chose our fish or steak to be cooked by the...chef and added home made salads, which were very good. It was in an outside area, which has seen better days. The host was very helpful and we were able to do a mountain of washing in their laundry. The hotel itself is quite run down and needs a good face lift, but we were close to everything we wanted to do, so it was fine. BTW the bath towels were great!!!More

Combined a two night stay with two great feeds ! Beat that ! Friendly staff and a low key establishment. The rooms were cheap & cheerful, above the pub plus you can plump for motel rooms across the laneway. We lucked in on the Sunday...BBQ cooked to perfection by the owner Roly with big steaks , snags & rissoles plus fresh salads & cheesecake to finish off ! The next night was the best Chicken Parma I had all trip, so all in all, good beer , good food & good sleep was had by all !More

Rooms are great value. Very clean inside, good air conditioners. Bathroom was spotless, the showers are great and the bath towels are huge and so soft! The beds were comfy and the pillows firm if you like them like that. Staff were very friendly. Easy...check in at the bar. Don't let the outside fool you, great place to stay. Short stroll to the Main Street, railway station etc. Thanks!More
