The cafe was very busy on our visit but the staff worked very hard to keep the food coming out. We opted for the prawn combo burger because it sounded a little different. It came with chips and a drink for only 13.50 AUS $. We didn't have long to wait and it was tasty and filling. The staff were friendly too. Overall a very good lunchtime experience.

They seem to have renamed but it's the same great food we had here 2 years ago. 3 of us ordered the beef burger with chips and can of drink combo for $10.50. One ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips and a can of drink combo. Good filling meals. They also sell ice creams in cones for the lowest price we saw on our walk. A friendly place to eat with happy genuine staff.

Now known as Cafe Suzi. Excellent, honest food all Great Value for money. Meet Suzi (Mum) great ‘front of house’ very personable and helpful and Carly (chef and Suzi’s daughter).
My husband had the homemade burger (which was made by chef & not bought in, it was a proper inch think meaty burger and I had an Hallumi burger with salad and beetroot both served in a crusty soft bun and chips 15 dollars each and a large can of coke is included. Highly recommend.

Looking around Kuranda for a bite for lunch we settled on Suzi's. The combo deals looked great value so we thought why not.
What our party didn't expect was such a nice lunch. My prawn burger was amazing, the schnitzel combo just right, the salt and pepper squid delicious and the fish and chips good.
Don't expect gourmet but do expect a good cheap but yum feed.
The food is presented on plastic plates with plastic cutlery etc. Now I know this is to save costs but to be somewhat more environmentally friendly and for looks, something like a cardboard hamburger box would go a long way.
However if you looking for a good feed on the relative cheap in Kuranda. This is it.

Thanks for your lovely review and feedback. Due to covid, and the law, plastic plates etc have to be used unless the business have a commercial dishwasher, which sadly we at Cafe Suzi do not.

My family and I had a lovely day at Kuranda however when we decided to have lunch we discovered that most of the resturants close early. We found Cafe Suzi (formally know as Cafe Kuranda) was still open.
When my husband ordered the waitress (potentially the owner) was rude.
The meals were served in a very timely manner (which was great) however the same person we ordered from delivered our meals. She told our child to "move kid" very gruffly (he was sitting on his seat waiting for his food and in no was distracting anyone) she dumped my child's meal on the table, if it hadn't been in a plastic bowl it would have gone everywhere.
The same person who took our order and delievered the meals complained out loud for all the patrons to hear that the "new girl" was useless and a waste of space. This business is very unprofessional.
I think this Cafe forgets that they get thier income mainly from the tourists who visits the town on day trips.
Anyone visiting please do yourself a favour, have lunch early in the day so you get a variety to choose from and avoid Cafe Suzi at all costs.

Great family atmosphere, we had fish and chips, the chips were great the fish was average, but quite edible... service is very good and very friendly , the coffee was great ....
There must be a big in the app i can only add one photo and it keeps adding “spiced lamb” (not on their menu)

Travelled 4000km to come and see kuranda. Eggs were floury and over cooked. Meal was cold.
You would think that being in a high tourist area, and a place that probably survives off tourism alone, the food would be of a higher standard and quality. We have had better food at outback truck stops than we had here.

Person in photo NEEDS to be sacked!
Initially served by a lovely lady. After ordering (within 2 minutes) I asked one of the kitchen staff, can you please do it order as takeaway. 😱 OMG! You would have thought we had crucified her youngest child! She moaned and complained (she had cut the burger buns on the plate). Then for the entire time she prepared our order for five she continued to complain loudly enough I could hear her outside. When our order was finally called we retrieved the 5 meals, and as we were sitting them out at the outside table, getting the kids ready to go she proceeded to abuse us saying "You have got to be kidding me! Look at that!". I went inside and told her we were leaving and that her behavior was disgusting..... We were abused. I'm grateful I got a photo of the troglodyte to share! This was without a doubt the most disgraceful and abusive customer service I have ever experienced-

Was simply waiting in line and was having a great time with my daughter at Kuranda when I was greeted by the lady at the desk with crude language. She stated “hurry up, the kitchen’s closed 5min ago”.
My issue here is, I was simply waiting in line with everyone else. I had no idea it had closed, but on top of this, it’s only been closed for 5 MINUTES! Any willfulll business owner surely would not mind taking a small order from a kind family 5 min after closing.
And even if they did not desire to serve customers, she could have stated it in a kind or even NORMAL manner. Anyways, I pray this lady becomes kinder as the days go on. This world does not need more negativity

Great homemade food at a good price. I love the combo deals that they have here, such good value. The food tastes awesome and no credit card surcharge 💪 if I visit Kuranda again, I’ll be sure to visit. I would recommend this place!

Greeted upon arrival and were totally impressed and satisfied with the huge tasty, fresh burger. Owner was lovely and had a chat. Very quick and great value for money $13.50 for a mega burger and a drink. Well done Cafe Kuranda from the Victorians

Horrible opened 25 minutes late. Overweight lady was pissed when we asked her to take our order so we don't pay for bad attitude or dirty restaurants stay away

Was enjoying a good trip with friends when they rushed us to get our order. The grumpy lady at the desk was rude and out of line. Would have loved to bring my friends here, but decided against.
