My husband and I have been Kuranda locals for almost 40 years, but at the same time we are very welll travelled. We have eaten in restaurants all over Asia, Europe and the Americas.Kuranda being a small town and us living out of town means...we don't eat out much, when we are here.So, today, just like that we decided to eat lunch at Frogs.Very unusual for us and we had no expectations at all. My husband and I have very different eating habits. He is a meat man and I am a fish girl. He has eaten more hamburgers in more countries than I can possibly count so his word on a burger is GOLD. He loved it and said it was not the kind of pre made cereal filled patty but was delicious. My barramundi was great. I wolfed it all down. The atmosphere the service, the staff all second to none. We stopped by here for lunch. I had the steak sandwich and my wife the burger. Both were yummy and tender, no knife needed. A few cans of beer and we were set. Would go back again.

The meals were all large, and freshly made. I had the avocado and sheep’s feta salad, which was fresh and full of plenty of ingredients. We also got a croc-emu-roo platter to share, to try three of the Aussie meats, which was actually quite delicious.

This is a great place for both locals and tourists. We live near Kuranda and came here regularly over the last 2 years for the tasty curries, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. If you want to get a genuine taste of Kuranda, this is the...place! It comes complete with rainforest dragons ( not dangerous- just very cute) and views of the rainforest. What I ate here is DEFINITELY NOT Sri Lankan food. Just advertise as Indian food, so that people who don't like Indian food, do not eat here. There is a distinct taste difference between Sri Lankan and Indian food and this is definitely the latter.

I had a really tasty calamari salad for lunch. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is located near a market, the koala park, butterfly enclosure and bird park. It’s a nice place to stop for lunch

Kuranda is a real tourist trap and we were delighted to find this eatery. Clear from the outset that it was different to most of the other tourist offerings. Lovely setting, inside and outside tables available. Extensive and interesting menu including the option to try...crocodile, emu and kangaroo. We opted for the homemade curries, a pizza and fish. Very friendly wait staff (with an amazing memory!). Good selection of drinks including local beers and non alcoholic options. Good when it came was very good. Only the pizza was deemed ‘average’ by our teenage daughter. The curries were stand out. We had the small portions which came with rice and were more than enough for lunch. A really good place to eat and the busyness of the place was testament to this. Highly recommended.More

Frogs has an amazing ambience tucked away in a secluded part of Kuranda behind the markets near the Koala and bird sanctuaries. You won't walk away with a bad taste in your mouth and feeling like youve been stung in your back pocket by a...swarm of wasps ! Frogs has been there for about 30 years with a great reputation and is definitely not a fly by night rip and run eaterie. The al fresco old farm style decor is classy and very much Australian as opposed to boring modern kitsch. Frogs has an excellent tasty menu and some awesome curries. Amazing coffee. Laid back atmosphere that suited that Kuranda area. As soon as we walked in we were greeted nicely from the staff and had an amazing lunch. They had great vegan and vegetarian options which is hard to find nowadays.
