Visited between Christmas and New Year, pretty busy and we were warned that there was a 30 min wait for food, which we did not mind. However it was 50 mins before our food arrived.
Food was "ok" nothing more, our group had burgers, sandwiches and salads but nothing stood out. Overpriced for what it was.
A shame as it looked good, the place has potential but I get the feeling they have lots of holiday trade so no need to make any effort as no need to entice customers back.

Seated out on the deck was nice bit chilly. Food was beautiful large meal. Beer overpriced $7.50 for a great northern stubby same price as a schooner as well. Friendly staff. Ribs were amazing

Good pub grub; punctual service; fresh food, tasty. We stopped for lunch & would strongly recommend it. Rest of restaurants in Kenilworth have really gone downhill; thought it was a up and coming tourist destination - no!

Had a day out, driving through the state forest, ended up in Kenilworth, one of the cafes was booked out so we waited to go in the pub, support the local economy and all that, staff were nice, but.... the food, was expensive and poor, served cold, unfortunately no one was there to even ask to have the meals heated, we ordered the beef brisket topped chips, $14 if you please, tepid chips, with cold meat on top, with a cold weird cheese flavoured sauce, now my son is a 14 year old food dust bin who eats anything at the moment, even he passed.
Going to put this out there but i can’t help but think some one is trying to recoup costs..

My wife and I went to the Kenilworth pub for lunch to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the fillet steak and asked for medium rare, but what I got was a shriveled up piece of meat that was neither medium rare, medium or even well done. It was overdone and, dry and tough. So disappointed. The craft beer locally brewed (summer ale, I think) was very nice

Always enjoy coming to this pub but sometimes you have to wonder if some working there are cut out for it.
Ordered lunch, pretty simple fare, steak sandwich and Phillip Cheese, these didn't turn up with other family members meals.
10 Min late we ask where the means are, the response, "they will be ready when they are ready!".
No class whatsoever! Maybe we just stick to a drink and go elsewhere, because as sure as the sun comes up, they didn't care about customer service.

We are local to the Sunshine Coast and hadn’t been to Kenilworth for some time. Went to the pub for lunch and it was really disappointing. Service is just ok, however a 45 minute wait for a steak sandwich and burger when they weren’t that busy was frustrating - especially when the beer and wine aren’t cold. Steak on the sandwich was amazing and really easy to eat however the panini that it was on wasn’t toasted. Burger with beef pattie - had no flavour and the pattie looked like it was two week’s old and had been re-heated several times! Really sad as a country pub needs cold beer and a good burger/sandwich. Also the smoking area out the back is literally not far from the outside dining. So you are eating and smelling people’s smoke.

Friendly staff, local beer and really great pub fare. Chicken schnitzel served on the bone was one of the best I’ve had. We opted for the extra topper which was really nice too. Highly recommend for a good feed and relaxed atmosphere.

Don’t miss this one. The barman on Wednesday night was under the pump but handled it beautifully. He made us feel like we were the only ones there.👏 I enjoyed the pub’s craft beer, I favoured the Amber Ale. The chef knows steak . One of the best Rib Fillets I had for a long time.
We will definitely be back.👍👌

Had a lunch visit for new years eve. Super tasty meal. Rump steak cooked to perfection. Could cut it with a butter knife. Icy cold beer on the front deck, bliss.

I stayed at the pub with a couple of mates on motorcycles.
We had a very pleasant surprise when we discovered they brew their own beers. These turned out to taste first rate. The food was very good pub fare and the rooms were simple, yet clean and the beds very comfortable.

Good to see that the Kenilworth Hotel is open for business, as we would not like to visit without going for lunch. Great food and service. Love the local produce. Locals very friendly and always like a chat which is great. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

Awesome food, well worth the drive up from Brisbane.We both had the king avo schnitzel & seriously struggled to finish our meals. Definitely be back!

The hotel meals are NOT where to eat. !!!!
Knowing no better we visited last Friday 25/05/23.
To say the least it was NOT a memorable experience.
The menu was OK I guess but the food provided was CERTAINLY NOT!!!
Boring menu with nothing enticing to tempt the taste buds.
Admittedly not very hungry but all 3 of us were disgusted.
One chose pizza paddle which came out pretty cold and tasteless. Had obviously been precooked then just stuck in the microwave! Bland and boring as well as cold.
2 other diners chose the pulled smoked brisket and chips. Chips OK but not very hot or fresh! Pulled Brisket was absolutely cold ( dangerous? ) with a bit of a somewhat melted cheese slice over the top. Totally disgusting and completely inedible. The cost for the pulled smokes brisket was $ 16 per plate! A total ripoff. Try the bowls club instead, only gets great reports from what I hear!

I luckily scored the last room in the Hotel on a Saturday night, bed was comfortable, shower was good and the restaurant was excellent.
Nearby was a great coffee shop for a B&E roll and coffee for breakfast - what more could you want in a country town
