While staying at Ferntree, have had dinner here both nights. Anyone that wants something different with aussie flavours I couldn't recommend the Australian platter for two, with crocodile, kangaroo and barramundi in the mix. The flavours were amazing. Tonight was steak and pork belly, both...were tasty and perfectly cooked.More

The nicest resturant we came across in Cape Trib. Dined here twice and sat outside under the stars both nights. Casual spot, chilled out and relaxed. Probs a tad pricey but choices are limited and hey, you're on holidays!! Ceaser Salad was good. Gave croc...and kangaroo a try on the shared meat platter, can now say I've done it so tick to that!More

We stayed at Rainforest Lodge so we decided to dine on site based on the reviews. Not sure who wrote the other reviews but we got a much different serve on our plates. Started with the barramundi spring rolls to share, I enjoyed them.Looking forward...to the mains arriving we enjoyed sipping our drinks in the delightful surroundings of this lovely appointed resteraunt in the middle of the Daintree rainforest. Our mains arrived and the presentation was good both dishes looked nice. I ordered a steak medium rare with chips and it was a reasonable size, cut in and....medium well done. Cut into the middle...Yep...overcooked. Normally I would send this back to the kitchen but it's FNQ at the top of Australia. It was well too overcooked for my liking. Wife had the Ceaser salad and she said it was the worst salad she has ever eaten. The chicken was so over cooked you could have bounced it off a wall. Lumps of boiled bland unseasoned chicken breast. The bacon was dry and flavourless. There was no parmasen cheese in the dish and instead of a nicely poached egg with runny yoke...she got a hard boiled egg. BUT...that's not the worst part. Instead of ceaser dressing they drizzled it with aioli. Now I understand that this is FNQ and you can't expect 5-Star dining in the middle of a rainforest at the very top of Australia...but if you only have 5 choices on your menu for mains...make sure you have the right ingredients and make sure you know how to cook them right. On the plus side the serving staff were exceptional and should be commendedMore

Really enjoyable dinner in such an atmospheric setting. Loved the alfresco dining on the desk with the rainforest all around, helpful, kind staff and great local produce. A slice of style in the jungle!

Recommended by the c park we were staying at. Fab food. Great service. We had the Australian platter. Croc was a bit chewy but calamari and spring rolls with all those little sauces, were Devine. Only down side was when we took a short cut...out the back to return to our accomodation, (as suggested by staff) I managed to crash and burn. Anyway, not too much blood. Would definitely return again.More

This was a good restaurant to visit because the chef went out of his way to produce some good and tasty varied meals during the constraints of COVID and succeded. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. This was a bit of an oasis...in some dour surroundings.More

Nathan from Safari Lodge recommended this restaurant and they had a great choice considering Covid19.

Lovely place in the heart of the rainforest serving good beer and pub grub, with a good selection of food. Power hour for half price drinks every day between 2pm and 7pm when we were there. Staff were friendly

I have eaten Barramundi just about everywhere in the world where I can get it and who would have thought that the best barra meal by far would be at a cafe in Cape Tribulation. 4 out of 5 of our group got the barramundi...and we all said it was the best we have ever had. I think the chef was having a great day! The 5th of our group got the Carbonara so we had a try of that and it was rated a 15 out of 10 as well.More
