Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to sit and have a cappuccino! Served in a cup or mug! Best in town. Beautiful shop of up market clothes and accessories as well!

We were passing through Blackall and The Drawing Board Boutique served us a delicious cappuccino. This business, like an increasing number, has found a way to make a visit to a boutique into a pleasant cafe experience. Good job and a delicious coffee!

I stayed in Blackall for a couple of weeks and visited the Drawing Board enough to get myself a loyalty card. The coffee and cakes were delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. As I was on my own it was nice to be able to...just chill out without feeling pressured. There is a selection of clothes to browse through as well. Will be back next visit.More

A pleasant environment to sit and relax with attractive fashion accessories but if you add coffee to the mix it has to be excellent! Unfortunately my ‘cup’ of coffee was in a mug sized cup and was weak and watery. Thank goodness the mud cake...was delicious so I didn’t walk away totally disillusioned.More

Holly is a lovely and inviting person whom welcomes you in to her lovely shop and makes a great cup of coffee!!! She has slices and basic food, free wifi and an array of fabbo clothes. Quite the reprieve for a weary traveller. Opens early...week days, but not the weekends. Makes sense because weekends close at 12 noon in the outback. The shop also has gluten free cakes and lactose free options. Great find in the outback!More

Very rarely do I take the time to comment on poor hospitality, but the terrible service received at this venue was too inexcusable to ignore. After incorrectly producing two of our orders - one was a small mistake so I was happy to ignore -...I returned the second order to the barista to inform her that it wasn't what I had ordered. No problem, I work in hospitality and realise that mistakes get made all the time. Now, I don't necessarily believe the customer is always right, but apparently in Blackall the customer is always wrong, because she maintained that the coffee I had received was exactly what I had ordered. Her stubborn rudeness was appalling, and I can barely believe she had the audacity to try and blame me for the mistake! On what planet does someone not read back an order so that customer and staff are on the same page? Never have I experienced such rudeness from an individual before. The stubborn woman was surly at best, and clearly needs to rethink her career choice if this is the best service she can provide. The coffee was sub-par, the service poor, and the blatant arrogance of this particular woman makes me ashamed to call myself a barista. I've dealt with difficult customers before, but never have I delivered such disgusting hospitality. It's a shame, because the boutique actually offered some beautiful and well made clothing, but the experience I've had here will stop me from ever purchasing a single item from it.More

Unusual business - coffee shop and boutique all in one. Good coffee, limited range of very nice sweet treats, nothing savoury. Friendly efficient service. Closed weekends.

Not sure if it is a ladies accessory shop with coffee or a coffee shop with ladies accessories. Whichever way you feel it it has a very nice friendly atmosphere with good coffee. It has been well thought out in the display of goods. Lots...of thoughts love and careMore

Called in for an early morning coffee and was greeted by a very friendly and courteous young lady, who was very knowledgeable on the local area and was very pleasant to talk to. The coffee was of a very high standard. Highly recommended cafe.

Our coffee was made at the perfect temperature, a real treat coupled with toasted sandwiches for a light breakfast. The cafe is very tastefully decorated, friendly and welcoming, and has a small area with books and toys to keep small children occupied.

The coffee was ok, but the milk was heated to too high a temperature. There are a range of options to have with coffee and the atmosphere is good. Hope the place keeps going.
