Being locals to the Hepburn region you could say we had a plethora of choices for a wedding venue. We have always loved The Grande, having dined there over the years so it seemed a natural choice and it we where not let down. The...venue itself is stunning and the back drop of the wombat state Forrest is pure magic. The owner and manager Ian was incredibly accommodating and coordinated a feast that our guests are still stalking about a few weeks later. Everything was perfect, the food, the venue, Ian’s team, even the inclement weather made no difference as we moved the ceremony from the stunning courtyard to the equally stunning dining room. And while we greeted out quests post wedding photos in another stunning room, Ian’s team worked so hard to create a beautiful space for a sit down meal in the very room we had our ceremony in. It was just perfect. I cannot recommend this venue enough, it is honestly a hidden gem in our beautiful town.More

Recently attended a family wedding at The Grande Hotel. The staff were very friendly and their service excellent. I had a dietary requirement that was catered for at both the pre-wedding dinner and the actual wedding, with staff ensuring I had sufficient to eat. The...setting was lovely with the surrounding bush.More

The food here on Monday locals night is amazing value. The food is excellent, and to have two or three courses for around $55 is great considering the standard of the food. the service is also quick and helpful. Venture out to the rear balcony...of this Victorian gem to take in the elevated views and soak up some bush charm, its seriously delightfulMore

We had a 25 people sit down dinner and it was just lovely. Drinks and nibbles outside on the terrace among the kookaburras and gum tress and then we went inside to a private dining room that had its own bar and outside area. The...food was really lovely and they were very accommodating with peoples dietry requirements. Booze was very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend for this size gathering.More

A wonderful experience. The waiter was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. A wonderful menu at reasonable prices. My main was the duck which was superb. Mere male ordered the steak which looked amazing but for the price he would have liked more but he...just Hoover’s steak. We shared a lovely tossed salad. A local Pinot Grigio or two helped wash this feast down. And then to dessert. I ordered the trio of gelato and was in ice cream heaven. MM had the pan Acosta which was silky smooth and divine. We overheard the owner welcome new guests and explain the hotel side and it was lovely to hear all of their special touches so we will be back to stay. On inquiring he gave us a tour and we loved it. Not just food with a view but the room too.More

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Just like the one in Lytham St Anne’s. The staff were so helpful and friendly at all times . The room comfortably fitted a large family of 5 and didn’t feel squashed in at any times....Right in the centre , near Brighton Pier and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning soon.More

Nice ambience with views across valley. Meals were nice tho a bit pricey at $148 for two people. Wine list was limited.

Gracious colonial charm complete with tessellated tiles in the bathroom, lead light windows and classic quality furnishings. Unfortunately we hadn’t booked so couldn’t enjoy the Saturday High Tea but Pizza was available from the bar. Lovely highland lodge feel.
